I eat wheat and flour and have also lost my urge to binge. I think every person is different. Try different things and discover what is best for you. The main thing is to reprogram your brain so you don't binge anymore and the weight will come off. I have gone 22 days (and counting) without binging after four years of…

I don't lose weight when I binge. :-/ I've lost 12 pounds this month and have not binged at all. I plan snacks that enjoy within my daily calorie allotment, like a 100 cal pack of Pringles at night or a few Hershey's kisses with lunch. And I had to change my mindset so that I didn't feel that need to binge. That's the…

I love this! I have been really good this month about tracking my food in my diary but I want to take advantage of the notes portion. I want to leave a little note about what prompted me to eat what I did, if I'm feeling good or bad that day, etc. So that is my challenge to myself. My diary is already public so feel free…

I know it may not be the most welcome advice, but exercise helps me control it. I think that it makes me feel like I'm taking care of myself and I don't want to ruin that, it releases endorphins which are natural mood elevators, it distracts you from your cravings, and it just feels good.

YES! It really helps me stay on track. I have done this in the past where I haven't logged everything, thinking I'll get back on track the next day and it never happens. By being honest with myself I've been able to stay on track.

Weekends are hard for me, too! I have been sticking to my plan and turning to MFP when I feel the urge to snack. Maybe you can ask your boyfriend to cook healthy food. I would love to hear what he comes up with!

I feel like the time that I need to exercise the most (feeling stressed, tired, anxious, etc.) is when I want to do it the least. But if I force myself I ALWAYS feel better after. Good for you for pushing yourself!

Maybe start with some small goals - 15 minutes of exercise, like squats, lunges, push ups, etc. Are there any active games you can play with the kids? A game of indoor tag, where you're running around the house for awhile? Is it possible to join a family friendly gym, like a YMCA, with babysitting service available? Or…

OK, I have thought about this, and I think my biggest excuse is: when I'm in a social setting, like going out with friends, visiting/celebrating with family, out with coworkers, I feel like it is too hard to stay within my calorie goal. Either there are not options available or I feel left out or like a party pooper if I'm…

Who knows? Bodies work in weird ways sometimes. I snuck a peek last week and much to my dismay, despite doing everything right (no cheating, counting every calorie, working out almost every day), I went up a pound. Then when I weighed in today I was down 3 pounds! I think your body is always fluctuating, especially for…

Today is a new day! You can't change the past so it's best to let it go and move forward. I've found that eating three square meals a day and 1 snack in between each meal works the best for me. I never reach that, "I'm so starved I want to eat everything and anything" feeling. I try to save enough calories for a guilty…

Maybe you are binging because you feel like you're depriving yourself of your favorite food. I find that if I eat a small helping of something I love, like a 110 cal pack of Pringles, I don't feel as much of an urge to binge. Also, I need to tell myself that I can eat whatever I want, whenever I want, I am CHOOSING to be…

I totally agree! I think they need to bring in a real psychologist and have a sit down session, not a meltdown during a work out. That is not going to fix anything.

Yes! I was going to bring this up. Losing 2 pounds a week is healthy. Losing more than that is extreme. That's what bothers me. I do like watching the workouts and seeing how hard people push themselves. I wish they would focus more on nutrition since that is the biggest factor in losing weight. I didn't really watch the…

I love the outlet malls in Aurora. :-) Just a small plateau - you'll work through it!
