I'd like to be back in most of my prepregnancy clothing, at least some of the stuff that was bigger on me right before I got pregnant. I'll be delivering any day now. I'd also like to be back into doing pilates and running again.

Oh my goodness, I had never experienced hunger before like first trimester hunger! I have no idea why since basically you're supposed to eat at maintenance for the first tri. Thankfully my hunger levels diminished for the second and definitely the third tri. I am 39 weeks and a few days and have put on more weight than I…

I would also like to know how you re-trained the transverse abdominis as you said. I've got ( hopefully) just a few days left until I deliver and then I'll be working my way back down!

bump for more comments! I am 38 weeks pregnant and looking to do something like this in 6-8 weeks!

I hope that you can avoid meds, but if you can't, it's not the end of the world. I have been on thyroid medication for years and I'm grateful that I get the opportunity to feel "normal." If "normal" comes in a pill form for my body, then so be it.

So charting is effective even if you aren't ovulating somewhat regularly yet after the baby? I mean, can you still go on your temperature and so forth to avoid having sex during ovulation time? I guess I'm worried about being irregular but getting pregnant. I got pregnant quickly, on the second cycle, and my husband and I…

Trader Joe's has good ones, and the added bonus is that they don't contain many preservatives or chemicals ( if you're concerned about that kind of thing, I don't know). I like the habanero lime ones and their whole wheat is good, too.

Mars Attacks. I was maybe in middle school when I saw it, and seeing the aliens attach people's heads to dogs' bodies was just weird. AI with the kid from The 6th Sense. I remember seeing his little robot body floating in the ocean or something at the end. wtf. Also, At Home at the End of the World. It has to be the most…

I am the same height and currently 31 weeks pregnant with my first. You're an inspiration--I want to look as good as you postpartum!

Hi, I'm Shelley. I am 29, and I was diagnosed with it when I was 24. I come from a long line of people with Hashimoto's on both sides of my family, so I knew my chances were pretty good of getting it. I was on 88 and doing really well, and then I got pregnant and had to up my dose to 125. My levels have been a little all…

Daniel Sunjata, Joe Mangianello, Henry Cavil...the manly guys! And there's something about Mike Rowe too, even though he's a little older.

I find it surprising that a trainer would advocate for someone to be at an underweight BMI. The range for 5'3'' goes up to 141. That's obviously well above where you are. Maybe you should just concentrate on building muscle and forget the scale for a while. When I weighed 125-128 at 5'3'' I was a size 2/4 and pretty happy…

Saving Grace. I saw the entire series a couple months ago ( 3 seasons on Netflix) and I' m still pissed. So this cop, Grace, gets a "last chance angel" who tries to save her soul. The whole series is about her growth ( and steps backwards). Then in the last episode they kill her off, and there's nothing about whether she's…

I only have about 30 minutes, too, like 99% of the teachers I know...less time if I have to talk with students or other teachers. I bring a variety of stuff: indian spiced lentils with greek yogurt, black bean and chicken wraps, soup, leftovers, salads, etc....anything I can keep reasonably cold with an ice pack and heat…

I have it. I was diagnosed at 24, and that was 5 years ago. My mom has it, my aunt, my cousin, my grandfather, my great-grandfather etc all have/had it...I was doomed. It's just become part of my life. I feel good on the right dose of medicine, and it's become second nature to take my pill every day, limit soy, wait 30…

Yes, I was diagnosed well before I got pregnant, so I am not sure what being pregnant and having a normal thyroid would feel like. I've gone up on my dose from 88 to 125. Most days I feel ok, and I've been working out 3-4x a week plus walking. I've gained a lot of weight, though and I'll probably have quite a bit of work…

Thanks for the inspiration! I am 6 months pregnant and at the "wondering if I can look good after pregnancy" stage, especially with respect to my abs. You look great! I am glad you posted!

If you find the right teacher for you, it can be amazing. Some are intense and have complicated routines, others are slower or less complicated. Some love to incorporate lots of jumping, others stick to slower dances like bachata. Try out a couple. And really, the more intensity you give it, the better your results...as…

Next up on your reading list...GMOs. And Monsanto. Our food industry does NOT have our best interests in mind!!

I also picked up on some sinister undertones, perhaps some judgement there or condescension, but at the same time, I am really glad I read this article. I am pregnant and so I am thinking about my future child, wondering how I can equip him to make the best health decisions in a society that's not geared toward health. I…

I don't think the OP's point was that she needs to have a forbidden foods list...what I got from it was that certain diet foods are set up so that we naturally want more, if not by the fact that they are labeled "light", then by the additives, chemicals and fake sugars which make our bodies crave more. A little bit of the…

I have a few... --a really gross, pungent goat cheese sample I tried to eat at a natural foods store...had to make a beeline for the nearest trash can. --some kind of Hawaiian snack that one of my friends loves...it was extremely sweet and extremely salty at the same time. Had to make a beeline for the trash can again. --…

At 5.3'' for me, 140 means a size 4-6 in pants/skirts and a small/medium in tops.

wow, OP, your tsh is high for you to feel no symptoms! I am glad you are taking meds now. It might take a few months to get the right dose. I was diagnosed before I got pregnant, and was told that I would have had a lot of trouble getting pregnant had I not been on meds. Thank goodness for modern medicine.

Healthy eating. I like healthy foods, but I also really like unhealthy ones like milk chocolate, ice cream, etc. I love to work out though. I am twenty weeks pregnant and still go to my fast-paced hiphop dance fitness classes several times each week. A couple years ago I was working out for two hours most days as I was…

Swat at...get off mah bench!!

You're probably pregnant. I'm 4 1/2 months along, and I know that whenever I open a can of cat food, that sweet, sweet aroma of tuna fish and ground animal parts does me in every time; I just have to lick the spoon.

Thank you, everyone, for your responses. I am aware that jumping squats are not traditionally part of Zumba, but my instructor incorporates them into some of her Zumba and hiphop routines. And yes, they are intense and I'm in good shape because of them and because of the quick pace of her classes. My plan is to lay off on…

I like mine with the usual breakfast stuff too, but I also like it alongside spicy Indian lentils. It goes so well! It adds a tang that sour cream would not have.

I have it. I was diagnosed when I was 9 and it hasn't let up. I take two different inhalers, a long-acting one in the morning and a short-acting one right before I do cardio. I've had asthma attacks before when I was in high school and college--not fun! Felt like I was going to die. Sometimes when it is really cold outside…
