So if the treadmill propels you a little does that mean you burn more calories outside because of the factors that slow you down and the fact that you tend to try to run faster???!!! There could be a positive to all this after all!! :)

I do both.. and I feel like the elliptical is an easier workout.... I can run on the treadmill non-stop for about 25 minutes.. can do the elliptical for over an hour.. so tha's how I gauge it...

I take alot of classes and if it's not like a specific such as Step Class or Aerobics, I just use Circiut Training... I know it's not an exact science anyway so I figure if I get close it will be alright!
