Hi! I'm in, too! I'm a 32 year old professor. I gained a lot of weight when I was leaving a pretty sedentary life (ie sitting and writing and reading) in grad school. Now that I've gotten settled in this job, I've been taking more time to eat right and more active. I also just moved to a brand new state and don't know…

Hi there! I'd love to help out and motivate! Feel free to add me!

Hi there! I'm 28, and I've lost about 18 lbs since I started on MFP in January. I've been sticking to 1200 calories pretty regularly and eating back my exercise calories, but I'm considering boosting my numbers since I've lost weight. Good luck to you! I'll add you.

Won't this slow down your metabolism if you're short on calories, especially by a lot?

And FYI, my boyfriend also said that if I get too thin he's going to leave me because he prefers me with "extra meat." *sigh* I told him I'd probably burn a lot of calories helping him move his stuff out.

YES. Mine is trying to do the same thing. I've tried to explain to him that I'd like him to support me even if he doesn't want to diet. I actually ask him to hide the junk food he wants to have in the house. I'm only 5'0'', so I can't reach a lot of the cabinets in the house which is helpful. You should definitely talk to…

Hi and welcome! Feel free to add me as a friend! To answer your snack question, I use GoGo Squeeze applesauce (only 60 calories per pouch and perfect for when I'm driving or in a hurry) and laughing cow cheeses (yes, they're awesome) with joan of arc mini toasts (which are only 80 calories per 8 crackers I think...perfect…

Hi hi hi! Having friends on here when you don't have support at home is awesome. I just started following people (and being followed) this week, and it's be really great to have people to cheer you on. Good luck!

CocoPuff, 9! you look fantastic!

Hi everyone! I've been using MFP since the first of the year, and I've lost 10 lbs. I've been doing Zumba for Wii and just started the Brazilian Butt Lift program. Having an awesome support network on here is great, though (I just started picking up friends this week), and they're great for cheering you on or kicking you…

I have about the same goals, so we can do this together!!!! Good luck!

Awesome! You look fantastic! Your hard work paid off! I've been struggling with my weight for about ten years now, and every day is baby step. It's so great to see other people's success, though. It keeps me focused and motivated.

Hi! I'm a first year Ph.D. student in New Jersey, and I'm studying Criminal Justice. I also work part-time (in addition to full-time studies and research), so my schedule is a bit crazy. I've been doing Zumba for Wii and the Brazilian Butt Lift workout program at home to burn calories. :) Feel free to add me for support!

Hi there, I just posted a comment about this same issue last night, and I found a really great group of people to support me on MFP rather than looking to my boyfriend for support. Everyone's advice was along the same lines as the great people who have posted here. I know that it's frustrating to have goals and watch…

WOW! Congratulations to you! Thanks for the advice.

Wow, everyone! Thank you so much for the support and the advice. I completely agree with all that you've said. Hopefully he'll come around on his own terms, or I'll have to address this once I meet my own goals. I feel like nothing can stop me now, though! :) Feel free to add me if you'd like! Support is really helpful no…

Best of luck to you! Thanks for the advice. It's good to hear from the other side of this.

32 lbs! Wow! That's fantastic!
-
I agree about the support network! It's one thing to see progress in yourself, but it's another to have people cheering you on! Good luck, and keep up the good work!
-
Seeing the progress all of you made is so inspirational! Good luck, Nikki! (And I hope you guys don't mind if I add you, too!) I don't think there's any such thing as too much support!

I just ordered the Brazilian Butt Lift program, but unfortunately, the supermodel add-on came first. I did the Rio Extreme workout and it nearly killed me...I'm looking forward to getting the first dvds tomorrow so that i can start at a normal person's rate. It seems fun, though, and I'm pretty committed to it now.

Hi everyone! I do Zumba fitness 2 on my Wii, and it estimates that i burn between 460 and 500 per hour, which is fantastic. I do it about 5 days a week, since I can't make it to an actual class bc my schedule is so hectic.

Hi! I've been doing this for almost two months! Welcome! I realized that I need some friends on here to keep me motivated and inspire me, so feel free to add me!
