I am 55 and just started a 30 day ab challenge with my daughter. I did 6 out of 7 days, skipping the 4th of July. I am now on day 8. I am so far kicking her butt :), but need to get the eating in order. She only weighs 103 lbs, however. You can add me. Tomorrow I want to start tracking my food again.

The man vs. woman thing is where I hang up. Men burn more calories than woman at the same weight. Otherwise, I agree.

Never beat yourself up. Chances are, you have someone else all too willing to do that for you. I pray . I exercise because it helps with my own moods.( I can't right now because I have had a recent hip replacement.) Just do what you can right where you are. People have told me to take care of myself, eating and sleeping…

I get hung up on 40 lbs. You have consistency that is vital to your success. Thank you for the inspiration.

I wouldn't lift until you get to the doctor about your back. You could end up with an injury that makes it difficult to do anything. I wouldn't recommend any free weights without proper instruction. You can use weight machines if you want to go it alone, but at least get some advice from the people at the gym who get paid…

I lost 4.4 lbs since my total hip replacement 5 1/2 weeks ago.

The military people I know are all incredibly polite and would not say such things. I do think the young marine was negging, which is abusive.

I would thank any person in the armed forces for their service. They are amazing with that! However, it does not.give him permission to insult an American he is supposed to be defending. She did not behave in an overly sensitive manner at all.

You can add me. Same place you are, but I'm 5'2 1/2" and 153 lbs. I would like to lose at least 30 lbs. Don't know how many stone that is.... I weigh one lb more than when I was 9 months pregnant for my kids. I am solid, so I still wear a size 8 US., but I should be about a 4 for my small bone structure.
