HI I am 63 from Wisconsin. I have lost 69 lbs and still need to lose about 40 or so. I started because of high blood pressure need to control the sodium which is hard. I been a widow for 12 years. I have a daughter, a son-in-law and two beautiful granddaughters. My son died 6 years ago. I am retired and love it.

I use Penzeys Spices for most of my spices because they have a lot of salt free spices. Just type in low sodium recipes and a couple of web sites will come up. I buy the Fiber One Protein bars. Dark Chocolate Almond and Chocolate Chip. About 130 calories per bar. I buy these because they are low in sodium which I need to watch. I eat them morning, noon and evening. It depends on my calories for the day and if I am hunger for a bar. I hope this helps.

I have a Polar FT7 which I purchased from Amazon for $76.00. I exercise with someone using a Polar FT7 with no problem.

I eat around 1880 a day. I don't eat my exercise calories back and I am losing about a pond a week. I try to low the calories and didn't lose anything . MFP tells me I should eat 1560 a day this wouldn't work for me. My exercise is walking with a HM. at least 5 days a week and sometimes 6 days.

I am 63 years young don't feel my age. I am trying to lose weight by walking and calorie counting. So far 54 pounds but many more to go. We have didn't health problem then the younger people. I have blood pressure issues so watching sodium is important foe me.

I do the same thing. Enter the food I will eat then I know the calories. IF thing are to high in sodium which I need to watch I go with steak, baked potato and salad. These always fits in my calories.

Add me. I have been on for about 6 months. Need to lose about 60 more pounds. Depends on the doctor. Fighting a history of high blood pressure. So could use the support also. I am a walker and just starting to jog a bit.

I have one. Honoring my husband and son. A heart that is half broken with the dates they died. I did it when I was in my late 50's and it still looks great.

Sodium will increase your weight. You need to eat 3500 more calories just to gain one pound. So I don't think you gained just the scale is up. Drinking water will flushed the sodium from your system.

You can add me also. I started in Jan 2012. My first goal is 82 lb. Right now I have lost 50 of that and will need a second goal of 20 to 40 lbs depends on my doctor. I am fight high blood pressure. So need to eat lower sodium.
