Lifting weights along with interval cardio works for me. I eat 1400 calories on a non-workout day and then add 1/2 of my workout calories burned to that. Try lifting---it works.

Do you have a Trader Joe's nearby? I eat their low carb whole wheat tortilla wraps, a low fat mozzarella stick, turkey breast, and their greek yogurt spinach and kale dip as a wrap. So good and tons of protein. They also have great ready-to-eat salads. I like their cilantro dressing that's in the refrigerated section. Have…

I agree with pkw58. Try to change things up---maybe try some HIIT workouts, spinning, just anything that's different from what you've been doing. Bump up your water, too and try to watch the salt. Good luck!!!!

I second what MityMax96 said!

I just looked at your diary for the past few days---my advice would be to generally try to eat cleaner. Try to eat more food in it's more natural state rather than so much fast food. Good luck!

Maybe try to cut back on your sodium. Sometimes (for me), when the scale won't budge, it's because of sodium. Just a thought!

It's nice to have some shorts (the kind that don't get heavy in the water) to put over your bathing suit bottoms. I never wear them, but every time I go tubing, I think "I should get some of those!" Have a great time and don't worry about what you're wearing! :)

I agree with you! YUK! The only thing I like it in is the Trader Joe's reduced guilt guacamole---can't taste it at all!

Check out "Lift Like a Girl" on Facebook! She has some great workouts!

WOW! Congratulations!! Keep up the good work!

No. I gave them up (and I was TOTALLY addicted to Diet Coke) because I found that they actually made me crave sugar MORE. I had my last Diet Coke 1 1/2 years ago and don't miss it. When I want a carbonated drink in a can, I drink either Polar brand flavored water or La Croix. Both of them have no fake sugar and give me the…

The guacamole from Trader Joe's that is made with greek yogurt is amazing!

I weigh 150, am 5'7", and have 19.6% body fat. I eat 1550 calories on a NON-workout day and then eat back 1/2 of the calories I burn when I work out (I use a heart rate monitor so that I have an exact calorie burn). Good luck!!!

MODERATION!

I'm about 5 pounds away---have lost about 45 and just want that little bit more. Just a tip---my nutritionist added about 150 calories to my goal for a non-workout day (1550!) and I've lost 2 pounds in a week! Try upping your protein and add some calories. I was very surprised!

Ask for help at the gym! Lifting is the best way to shape your body while losing (along with diet and cardio!). You will love it once you start AND it helps you continue to burn calories all day!

I'm 45 years old, 5'7", and about 150 lbs. I'm at 19.6% body fat right now (got it checked in the bod pod). I do pretty intense bootcamp-style workouts (with heavy lifting) 3x a week and run/spin class the other days. I also work with a nutritionist who monitors my numbers here on MFP and helps me tweak the numbers. If I…

Not a recipe, but I love VitaTops choco banana bread muffin tops! So easy---just pull it out of the freezer and eat for 100 calories!

Totally depends on you and how hard your workouts are. I cannot possibly think about working out on an empty stomach. I eat oatmeal about 1 1/2 hours before I workout and it works for me. I also do very tough bootcamp-style workouts with heavy lifting. I guess just try out a couple of things to see what works for you! Good…

I agree with everyone who said too much sodium, drink water! Keep doing the right thing and don't let the scale depress you! It is only one indicator of your fitness. Try coconut water----it is great for hydration. Keep working out and eating right and the scales will eventually show you results! Good luck!

Try spinning! Great for your legs!

I agree with just about everyone posting here. You need to make sure that you're eating high quality food, not just eating a certain number of calories. Lifting weights while eating high quality protein within a half hour of ending the workout will help you build muscle. Good luck! For abs, try planks---they work!

I used to drink 2-3 diet cokes a day and gave them up over a year ago. The artificial sweetener made me want more sweets---now that I'm totally off the diet coke, I've found that my cravings have virtually disappeared. I substitute Polar flavored water and LaCroix--no artificial anything in them and it lets me have a "can"…

Do you have a Bod Pod anywhere near you? I live in Knoxville and just went in one a couple of weeks ago. My body fat % was much different than the body fat scale measurement that my dietician took for me. You should check out the Bod Pod---quick and easy! Mine ended up being 19.6 which was lower than I thought it would be.
-
It's definitely different from person to person. I'm 45, 5'7", 148 pounds, and and have 19.6% body fat (bod pod last week). I have recently lost 45 pounds and do a boot camp workout with heavy weights/cardio 3x a week and run the other days. I'm a size 6 or 8, but am a muscular build. I, personally, think I look like my…

If you lie, you're only hurting yourself. If you are EVER going to be completely, 100% honest, it should be with your food diary! :)
