Tina, that is a fantastic attitude and I  that you are meal planning instead of eating on the fly (aka eating out/fast food)! You'll find all sorts of great recipes in the forums and look @ sites like skinnytaste.com as well for ideas and healthy cooking. I have no clue what your calorie goal is but just remember…

That is fantastic, good for you! You have to be happy with that progress. Do you have any plans after the Lean for Life phase?
-
Yeah! That's great! And muscle takes up less space than fat so you looked so good she thought you were too little to give blood. I'd take that any day. I've never been the iron deficient but I used to be able to give the double red blood cells until I started losing weight (you have to weigh a certain amount), now I can…

I have PowerBlocks that I got at a local sporting goods store, not as fancy as SelectTechs but cheaper and also allows for increases as little as 2.5lbs at a time. We love them and it allows me to go way heavier for my squats and they work for my husband as well. Very glad we went this route instead of individual hand…

I am sure you are. P90X is an awesome program and I am dying to go back to it, but need to plan it REALLY well because of the one-hour long workouts. :(
I know! That would be my only complaint about the program.

Tina, you are exactly on the right path. You have to plan, plan, plan or you'll end up eating junk that's quick. Also, try to think of things you can cook up on a day off and then either refrigerate/freeze until you need them. We cook either chicken breasts or turkey breast loins every Sunday, slice for sandwiches, portion…

You know they didn't even seem that difficult....maybe I'm getting in better shape after all!

Thanks Cristina! I was looking @ some of those recipes you gave me, they look delicious and so full of protein. I need to delve into them a little more and then start making them! :flowerforyou:
-
great job! Looking lean!
-
^^^ ditto, I use cottage cheese, protein powder, water, and my fruit (I cut up bananas and freeze them so I don't have to add ice)
-
You look great!! And so happy. Great dedication to yourself.

Thanks for sharing. All of are at different points in our 'work in progress' and this will hit on that for each person differently. Some just a reminder, some it will be a wake up call. Thanks.

If you're quitting every time, why? Is it because you're doing something that is unsustainable for you long term? Take baby steps. Change little things. You don't have to starve to lose weight, I'm not a fan of the 1200 calorie that MFP puts everyone on. Is your exercise routine too hard or too boring? Find something you…

Since you never know what will be served at the parties, you either need to leave yourself room for theses calories or eat ahead of time and don't eat at the party. The temptation might be difficult for you though so go in with a strong mind and determination that you already had your snack and you're done.

I do use gloves for grip, my hands get too sweaty and the heavier I go for lower body they start slipping without the gloves. Some people say don't use gloves get the chalk, whatever, not in my house, I'll use gloves.

Cristina, I agree with this on every level. I'm doing relatively the same only with P90X. The days we lift we do ab ripper X so that's 3x/week and I'm already seeing improvement in the number I can do, how many before stopping, etc. You will  having the ability to go so much heavier with your weights, especially the…

Looking @ your picture I'm not sure how you can be 30% BF! Take Cristina's advice and find someplace that will measure it for you accurately.(gym, doctor's office, whatever) Don't get depressed, it's all a work in progress, work for the long term. A lot of what I have read isn't even about the workouts (yes, more muscle is…

The only time I see 'gains' is after too much sodium even though I drink a TON of water is when I'm lifting heavy and have DOMS. Once that releases, I'm fine. I have even taken a gentle diuretic during those times (meant for during TOM when you retain water).

Agree with a lot that Cristina said. If you are going to use an online calculator, however, then use one like on scoobysworkshop or the military calculator or gymgoal.com/dtool_fat.html According to my scale and the little calipers and BF% chart that came with my ChaLean I'm @ 20%. It's still a serious work in progress…

I like the workout clothes @ Kohl's, Target, and even some @ Wal-Mart.

That is fantastic! Good for you! Keep working and you'll be off the meds in 6 months, what a great goal to have for your health and well being.
-
I just started taking GNC AfterGlow in Bazooka fruit which is really yummy. I mix 1 scoop/30 grams per about 12 ounces water. I really like it, I feel energized, and I think it's helping with DOMS.

Thanks!

That's fantastic and that's a NSV!

I'm was up @ 4:45 and exercising by 5 after taking care of the dogs & getting dressed. Now that I've started P90X and its longer I'm up @ 4:20 and exercising by about 4:30-4:35. Then I'm off to the shower and my husband does his P90X.

Originally just tied it and kind of tied the ends so I wouldn't step on them. Then just cut it shorter.

Let me know what you think of it. Lori

Their site bellplantation.com tells you your local stores where you can find it. Or order directly from them.
-
I use both of the sites you listed too! It makes sense and that's what I have holding onto. You know how when you see someone everyday (or they see you everyday) so they don't notice the changes but someone you haven't seen for awhile notices the second they see you? I think that happens to ourselves a little bit. We see…

This is me! I can see some definition in the same places but can't seem to get rid of right around/under my belly button. I can feel strong abdominal muscles underneath, but don't feel like any of that fat is leaving!
