I am not sure if anyone is still following this thread but I have my results. I ate between 1700 and 2000 calories per day with a couple days out of the past two months being " go crazy" days... I lost 12 pounds in two months, doing Insanity and some 30DS/RI30. The last few weeks I took out the Jillian DVDs, because I was…

Even with a HRM I do feel like it is a guessing game. I make sure to NET 1200 every day. Maybe that extra couple hundred calories would make a difference. Thank you! You look great BTW. What kind of results did you get with the program?

I did take measurements at the beginning and then at the end of month one. I didn't want to "cheat" and measure before the end of month 2, hoping to be pleasantly suprised. LOL I of course can't keep off the scale :( I do wear a HRM. During month 1 my workouts burnt between 350-500 calories. In month two they are between…

I am doing TDEE- 20%. It goes off of exercise per week...since you mention exercise but not how much I tried your info at 1-3 hours per week, that gave me 1642 calories per day for losing 3.3 pounds per month. If you are doing 3-5 hours per week it bumps up to 1851 with 3.8 pounds lost per month. With TDEE you do not eat…

These are great responses! I think i will try eating close to that 1900 and see what happens over the next few weeks! My macros are 40/30/30... what are everyone elses? I eat a ton of protein every day from whey powder, tuna, and chicken...but it still isn't meeting my goal, I have a hard time without going over on sodium.…

Thanks ladies! This gives me hope that I am diong something right and that my weight loss wasn't just accidental. I was happy to see even a pound gone because this week was TOM and I know with both 30DS and Insanity there is sometimes not alot of loss in the first week or two. I have tried the 1200 calorie thing, eating…

I'm Cassie from Iowa... I am 5'4" & in the 150s. My fiance and I are both starting p90x tomorrow. We have enough time to get 3 rounds done before our wedding in October. I would like to be in the 130s or even in the 140s after the first round, mainly I am concerned with inches and not weight. I am super competitive so my…

Instead of Yoga I will be doing some cardio! Yoga makes me laugh and I can't handle 90 minutes of it. LOL

I am student teaching in third grade and also in 8th grade science this fall so I am in the same boat as you. I liked reading all the tips from current teachers...very helpful! Good luck to you :) Keep me posted!

I definitely would recommend taking a class. I do kickboxing and MMA classes at a local gym. They are actually training you to fight with the correct technique, not just for a cardio workout. I think this makes it even more fun!!!!!! It is addicting and a great way to get out some anger. :) If you choose to take it at a…

5'3" && not really sure how much I want to lose... Somewhere between 10-20 pounds. I guess i am not sure because I don't know what my body is going to look like each step of the way. 160ish now, got big boobs and hips and an hourglass figure wiiiiith some bulky muscle. Mainly want to lose/tone up the belly area! Good luck…

Watermelon, strawberries, pineapple, papaya, and apples :) I am a fruit-aholic. I eat 3-5 servings a day which I am sure people would hate on me for :P

Dustin- If you would like to pay for the gas for my gas-guzzling truck to drive to your location then pay for the lawn we would CONSIDER it. LOL! :P I should have re-phrased that... I would like to have those results by September (my goal month because I will be student teaching and not having enough time to put into…

Right??!! And people were all thinking that the guy was correct. He said it was a "rule of thumb". I just wanted to make sure that I didn't miss a memo about women not eating over a certain amount. I should have re-phrased what I said about sugar. I DO eat fruit. But I am pretty sure that I usually eat at least 4 servings…

Thanks so much! I underestimate my calorie burn and over-estimate my calories, so it could even be a bigger difference. I just hear everybody talking about starvation mode and got worried if I wasn't eating all calories. Then I saw someone on here saying that women should NEVER eat more than 2,000 calories so that threw me…

Yay for finishing day one level one! I didn't think it was horrible, I used 5# weights, maybe going to up it to 8#ers tomorrow :) Hope everyone had a great first (or whichever) day!

I am definitely in to start tomorrow! My measurements are 5'4" Bust= 39" Waist= 30" Hips= 41" I weigh about 163ish and would like to end up at between 145-155 (I know 145 is the top of my BMI but I have always been very curvy and muscular even at my lowest of weights, so as long as I am healthy I don't care too much about…

I love the Pit workout, it is challenging and pretty hardcore. It combines shadow boxing, bag work, and strength training using your own body weight. The Pit comes with 2 DVDs, three workouts (upper, lower, full). Each workout is about an hour...you can customize it to fit ability level. There are a ton of push-ups,…

I think it can be dependent on what kind of exercises you are doing with the kettlebell. I do a workout called the 300 with them and it incorporates lifting then cardio then lifting then cardio, etc. So I count it as circuit training. I use a HRM and the calories come out pretty close!

UPDATE: Thanks for all your great advice. I put my weight loss goal back at one pound a week and started eating 1500 cals instead of 1200. Guess what?? From 170 on Sunday to 164 today! :)
-
I have most definitely been going through the same thing! I was losing a pound a week when I was eating 1700 calories or more if I exercise. Then I decided to kick it up a notch and try losing 2 a week. MFP said eat 1200 and I did, plus some if I exercised and I gained 5 pounds in two weeks WHILE I was exercising more!!!…

I know I am a little late to join but I am definitely in! Halloween is one of my favorite holidays! I am at 170 now and would like to be 160 by then. :)

Thanks for all the great advice! I think I am going to try a couple different things and see what happens. I am gonna try to stay postive and keep trudging along! :)

Thanks for the advice guys! :) I was so upset to see the scale this morning after all the hard work I have put in, I just didn't understand. I am going to plan to eat about 1500 calories a day...more if I exercise. Hopefully it will get me back on track and I will not be so discouraged! I do strength train with weights…

I suppose I should knock my goal back down to 1 pound a week. Then at least maybe I can reach my weekly goal, maybe I will get lucky and lose that plus some to help get to my bigger goal! Thanks Mini-goals are definitely a good idea. I have mini rewards in mind for reaching my mini-goals. :)
-
I still don't understand if you are supposed to eat back part/all of the calories you burn in exercise. So too few calories could be a problem. Thanks for the advice!

Hmmm, I will have to try the smaller meals. I will give anything a try at this point. My goal is to be 140 by Christmas. So, we will see how it goes :) I drink a ton of water already, so I am pretty sure that is not it. Thank you for the advice! Hope it works :)
