Definitely a change in eating habits and drinking less alcohol are at the core. This site was enlightening as to how bad certain foods really were that I was eating often (and a lot of it). Then I basically went from no exercise, to various alternations of running intervals, long runs, walking a couple of nights a week,…

BEFORE (January 2012): 220 lbs. 23% body fat AFTER (June 2012): 184.6 lbs. 17% body fat (and I can run 6 miles at a time!)

I'm having the same results since I got around 30 lbs. lost. I have upped my intensity on running (alternating intervals and longer runs) and started working in more strength training, so I'm pretty sure that has something to do with it since muscles are starting to show up now !

Well played sir! I can't quit laughing at this...

That looks awesome! I might have to see if I can round up some folks to do this ....

Was on the verge of needing to up the waist size on my jeans size from 36 to 38. 3 months (and 27 lbs. later), I can pull those 36s on and off without unbuttoning them and had to move my belt back 2 notches to keep them on! Not buying new jeans though until I get rid of that last 13. Also after three months, people are…

Turning 40 in June was my motivator. 15 more pounds to go to get to my goal.

Another lifelong Pirates fan here... learn that name Alex Presley. You'll hear it a lot this year!

Our annual tradition with my wife's family is Crawfish Bisque then later that evening at my Mother's house, it's homemade lasagna. Yep... will have a lot of exercising to do next week!

One of my Facebook friends had this posted on their site... sums it up nicely.

I have the RunKeeper app on my iPhone (free app, highly recommend). I had to manually enter this routine, but I'm able to go back and tweak it and add steps, adjust times, etc. It use the GPS on your phone to record your route, tracks miles/times, approximates calorie burn, and provides audio cues when it's time to switch…

I have a HIIT routine I have been running for a few weeks now, but not on treadmill. Approximately 50 minutes now (i've been tweaking it a little as I'm advancing) and getting a 750+ calorie burn. I run this about 3 times a week. The rest of the week I try to do one long run, and a shorter run with a long walk at the end.…

Ditto this one...

Congratulations! I'm trying to lose 40 myself which will put me at 180 (20 more pounds to go). I have been trying to figure out if 180 might be taking it too far, but after seeing your pics at 172, I think it may be a worthwhile pursuit. How tall are you?

I've just started doing these myself after recommendations from other people who had success with them. I am using the Kettleworx videos which are just under 30 minutes including warm up and cool down... but I am hurting when it's done. The moves are not difficult, but the way they are performed most movements affect…

I am a picky eater but my dislikes are mostly in the fruit/vegetable arena. I still eat a lot of meat, potatoes, etc., but I try to manage the portions, make substitutions where I can tolerate and stay away from the stuff that is really bad. I try my best to stay away from fried chicken, pizzas, gumbo, hamburgers (unless I…

Mine is not really strange... but I used to be able to grab a handful of "love handle" on the sides and squeeze. I barely have anything to grab there anymore, I can get about a fingertip on top and bottom. Pants are also falling off my waist. Belly still protrudes too far though, but becoming much less prominent. However,…

Hello from Prairieville. I stay pretty busy and usually don't get to do my exercising until after 10 PM, so I won't be much help in terms of an exercise buddy. But best of luck on your quest. 10 pounds down for me, 20 more to go!

This may not do everything you want, but I have a free app on my iPhone called iMapMyRun. It has some features for mapping routes and has a community for finding good places to run, etc. But I just use it track my distance and speed for my run... then when I burn out, I restart it to track my distance/speed when I walk it…

I'm guessing since the exhaustion test isn't exactly a full workout, I will probably do it on Sunday and then continue with the regular schedule on Monday... unless someone recommends otherwise. Good luck to all of you!
