Most MD's will tell you .36 g per pound of body weight. You can go much higher on the protein when you diet. Make sure you drink water! This will flush the nitrogen from your system. This also assumes you have normal kidney function, if not, talk to your doctor.

I'm from the east coast, also had rattle snake at the Russler's Roost. You can get a good steak in Arizona, but you can't get good Haddock or Lobster.

This is very common. The first week constipation, next week might be very loose. Your body is adjusting to a much healthier food plan. By week three you will be normal.

If calories in equaled calories out, then losing weight would be simple. Cutting out the sugar is good, now it's time to look at the other carbs you are eating. Cut the carbs and add protein and good fats. You will feel great and start losing again. Oh yeah, keep the cheat day, life is short.
