Too much protein?

Can you consume too much protein? I'm consuming between 30-40 grams over on protein at the end of the day. Is this okay if I workout 4-5 times per week?
Thanks!! -Mallory

You can consume way too much protein, but it would have to be astronomical range.
Protein requirements increase while you diet, so feel free to go over protein intake as long as you stay within your alloted calories. Matter of fact, you might want to change your macro goals to inclue a higher % of protein.
Most women should aim for 100-120g per day unless they are very tall.0 -
Most MD's will tell you .36 g per pound of body weight. You can go much higher on the protein when you diet. Make sure you drink water! This will flush the nitrogen from your system. This also assumes you have normal kidney function, if not, talk to your doctor.0

Thanks for the advice. I usually drink 80-90 ounces of water, so I'm good there.
I was just concerned because it always says I'm over on protein, but my calories are always fine. I'm usually between 1,200-1,350.
