Congratulations!! Setting mini-goals really helped me also. It seemed much less daunting than the whole amount at once!

I am SO PROUD OF YOU!!!! You look great! And kudos to you for not being ashamed to wear it around your skinny friends! I'm still not comfortable enough to wear it around people that I know, other than my immediate family, but I'll get there! A co-worker of mine has recently judged me because I said I bought a bikini, and…

Congrats! That is such an awesome feeling, isn't it? For me, losing weight has become very dangerous to my pocketbook ... LOL. I love to go shopping because, now, I can pretty much try on anything and it fits me decently and looks nice. I don't worry about hiding fat anymore!

You look fabulous! Congratulations!!!

You will get there :) For me, it wasn't about a diet, it was about a new way of doing things ..... and honestly, it wasn't nearly as hard as I thought it would be! Good luck!

Great thread! I'm 5'3" January 2012 - 197-200 lbs March 2012 - 176 lbs July 26, 2012 - 160 lbs - at my initial goal weight that I set for myself. Now, I'm shooting for another 10 lbs.

Complete 30 DS!!! I started it before, but only did it for about a week. I am going to finish it now that I'm down to my original goal weight!

LOVE IT! I want a tattoo for my reward as well ... but I'm chicken :)

Thank you! I couldn't agree with you more. I don't know what that magic number is for me. I will know when I like what I see in the mirror, and I'm getting there! So many people go off the BMI charts, and they are complete BS. They should be thrown out the window. For some short ladies, 150-160 would be too heavy for them.…

Good for the both of you! That is wonderful - not only are you getting healthy - you are spending quality time together while doing it! I hope that my hubby will soon get on the bandwagon with me!

You look so great! Congratulations!

Wow ... just, WOW! I am blown away by all of the compliments that are here for me. I literally am teary-eyed reading through them. My reason for posting this was certainly not to get compliments from complete strangers, but to hopefully help to motivate others who need a little push. Thank you MFP peeps for being so…

My only advice is to look at it as a different lifestyle and not a diet. Eat what you want in moderation - and MOVE!!! Good luck!

Maybe someday :) I think I want to get a couple more 5k's under my belt, and then go to a 10k.

I averaged 3-4 times per week about 2-2.5 miles each time. Good luck!

Thank you everyone for your kind words. I am so happy to hear that my story has been a motivator or an inspiration to so many of you! For a long time - I stalked the success boards and looked at all the pictures, and thought WOW! This can be done! MFP is such a great, supportive place :)

Awesome job! What an inspiration you are!

Way to go! You look amazing!

My biggest fear is gaining it back. For me, this is a lifestyle change - not a diet that will end. My plan is to continue being active and making healthy choices when it comes to food. However, I will not deprive myself - if I want something, I will eat it - only in moderation! I am also a little nervous that the flabby…
