I have 2 German Shepherds. The female sleeps on the bed but the male prefers his own bed on the floor.

I second the Hal Higdon training programs. I used a similar type program to train for both my half and full marathon. Good luck!

I would go by how your body feels. If you can do 30 minutes at a slower pace then I would start with that. I took 2 months off and my first run back was a half marathon race. I ran it 25 minutes slower than I normally do but I was fine and completed it. If you can't do 30 minutes after your time off then do some run/walk…

If you're planning on doing Body Beast then I would follow the nutrition plan that comes with it. It'll tell you exactly what to eat. I belong to a Facebook Body Beast group for women and many women have had amazing results following the program and nutrition guide.

This is exactly what I do. Got myself a loaf pan and make a loaf from scratch every weekend. It's delicious.

As others have mentioned, you need to try new things. Set a goal to try 1 new vegetable every time you do groceries. You'll probably dislike most but find a few you actually like. I didn't eat veggies either when I started my journey but I did what I told you and now I have a small group of veggies that I like and I'm…

A few days ago, I gave up my table at a packed coffee shop to a mother and her baby.

I was thinking food intolerance as well. Perhaps track what you eat for a while and note when you seem to bloat more than others. You may be able to find a pattern and then try to eliminate certain foods.

I'm 5'6 and 156 pounds. I eat 1800 a day right now.. I have a desk job, I lift weights 5 nights a week for 40 minutes and run twice a week for 1-1.5 hours.

132 lost!!! Hell yes!

I took a look at your photos and just wanted to tell you that I think you look great! A nice transformation in your before and after.

I have the Bondi B's and really like them. Try the different types on and see which one if any work for you. The only thing I found was that I couldn't alternate my shoes when I wore them. My foot never seemed to like either shoe then. I have to just stick to one pair until I'm done with them.

Get your music and go for a walk. Any movement is an improvement at this point. You don't have to kill yourself in a grueling workout. If you like sports, look into joining a local team.

Wow, great transformation! You look great!

Jessie and Rippers!

I'd go to the track or invest in a treadmill

I stayed in residence my first two years. I gained about 25-30 pounds the first year. I didn't say no to anything. I ate every meal like it was a buffet. I indulged in lots of pizza and alcohol. I lost the weight over the summer and my second year I was more aware of everything and made much better choices. I didn't gain…

How did you like the Niagara Falls Marathon?

I select my half marathon and marathon races according to popularity and the bling, lol. In Ottawa, we have Ottawa Race Weekend in May which is a huge event and attracts thousands of runners. The atmosphere is amazing so I like to do that one. We have the Army Run in September which is also another hugely popular race so I…

Thanks for the response. I think I'll do it as I planned then :)

Don't be nervous. You'll do great  I did my first half in May during Ottawa Race Weekend and although I was nervous it was an amazing experience!

I'm in awe that people let their dogs off-leash on a running/cycling trail. I have 2 large dogs and I would never let them off leash in an on-leash designated area for their own safety. It's unfortunate that it's not enforced on the trail you run on. I don't recommend mace though. Depending on the direction, you could end…

You didn't gain 4 lbs of muscle. If you're working out a lot then you're likely retaining water. Don't worry about it. Just do your thing and it'll go. Good luck

I'm almost 34 and it seems my side of the family, our friends, and our colleagues all accept it. My husband's side of the family doesn't get it though and they still think we'll change our minds even though were 34 and 37 years old. I find it disrespectful that people will actually argue with you over a personal choice.

I have a desk job and I've lost 40. I go on runs sometimes at lunch, but usually in the evenings. I also have two dogs so I spend at least an hour a day walking them. You just need to find ways to move around more. Park farther away from the building, take the stairs, go for a walk at lunchtime, and do some sort of…

Tempo Pace is 5:30/km Steady Pace is 5:45/km LSD Pace is 5:55-6:15/km Race Pace is 5:25/km To me a fast pace is below 5:00/km. My goal is to just keep getting faster!

So true! I recently did my first half and one co-worker thought it was 5k and my dad thought it was 10km.
