  • I eat at about 1000-1200 a day. I'm also under 5 feet (about the height of a 5th grader :s ) and not HUGE. It depends on SO MANY THINGS. If you have diabetes, you really should talk to your doctor and or nutritionist about this. I wouldn't drop that low and not be watched.

  • 10,000 steps, from what I've read, is really only maintenance walking. I try for 20to 30k to have an affected on weight loss

  • Just calculated one of my days. I'm about 200 cals over. which in my head is 700 cals over because I didn't move. over 2 days. that's 1400 Cals . Not bad. I thought I was overeating by a good 1000 cals a day. Way WAY more carbs though. wow!

  • Oh the IDC mode!! That's exactly me. I eat way more when sick. Interesting that many others don't eat much. I get a nagging feeling that if I don't eat enough when I'm sick, it will take me twice as long to get healthy again. Maybe my mom said something to me that has stuck in my subconscious. lol
  • Choose a time and stick to that. I find first thing in the morning is best for me. I try to only step on that scale once a week. I'm trying to get on it less than that now... You don't have to worry about "is that really accurate because I just ate an hour ago" feelings. :p

  • Mine is very accurate. If you eat back all my calories I wont drop the weight.. you will only maintain. :/ But if I listen to how much my deficit is for that day, I drop pretty much exactly what I would expect from it.
