My vote would be to recognize you are just changing scales as a reference point, you still lost about the same weight I would expect. You could reset your starting weight 7 pounds higher, and keep the 33 pounds lost, and your sanity.

Congratulations on your progress. People's before/after pictures are always so impressive, typically showing them not only physically, but apparently mentally and emotionally in a better place! So good to see and encouraging for all of us.

My wife and I could resolve this for you pretty easily and scientifically. I have an HRM, and we have a deck that needs to be stained/painted - and Maryland is wonderful place this time of year ;-)

We will have been married for 38 years as of 3/24. We met at 13 & 14, married at 17&18, and I am still constantly amazed at my wife's incredible wisdom, grace, intelligence and beauty. It's only been in the last 2 years since the youngest of our 6 kids headed off for college, that we have EVER lived as just a couple. In a…

My wife and I are both finding MFP to be a great way to take weight off, and to be mindful of what we are taking in. Having just posted dinner, off to the treadmill to get back in range for the day ;-)

After much agonizing over which of the widely differing set so results the WW scale gave us, we opted for a scale that is at least consistent. Multiple results is a little bit like the person with two watches - s/he never really knows what time it is ;-)

Met at 14 & 13 Married at 18 & 17 Celebrating 38 years next month. 6 kids, 9 grandkids later & still loving life & each other! Tremendously grateful

We have 6 kids from 19-38, and thought it was going to be tough to be empty nesters. Each of the kids went on their own at just the right time, and 5 are now married to great spouses, and we have 9 grandkids. We've found that now we have the time to finish figuring out who WE are. 1st half of life all about being defined…

Well, OP, looks like you may have unleashed a monster among all the camera hounds

[img][/img] From SmugMug accounts, looks like the photo sharing option for "Forums: BB-Code Medium works natively, including the img tags.

Far enough to keep myself out of the water at beach and pool - which is kind of a bummer when you're there with the grandkids.

Great milestone! My wife is encouraging me to go shopping too - feel like I'm wearing old man baggy pants!
-
I find that stepping on to the scales without glasses both reduces weight, and increases the chances that I will interpret what I do see in the most favorable possible light - Surely that was 213, not 218??
-
Congratulations - way to go (And I confess, I too am among those experiencing lens envy!!!)
