Dr Oz recommends 30 minutes of walking every day to start. Try that and then move on to something else. I have been trying to walk everyday.

In my area it is a cheap basic gym - ours has tanning also. They have a personal trainer that will will give you a plan for your goals and show you how to use equipment, but not work with you one on one. It's good if you don'g care about group classes or a pool. Check it out when they open.

Had a decent week. Lost 1.5 pounds and I am HAPPY about that... :blushing: 12/1 SW - 244.5 12/8 - 243.0 12/31 GW - 240.0 This next week is going to be hard - work breakfast on Thursday, hosting a cookie party on Friday and holiday dinner on Saturday. But my hope is to do the best I can while enjoying myself and to work out…

I need this!!! Name: Marlene Starting Weight: 244.5 Goal Weight by December 31, 2010: 240.0 What you will do to get to that goal weight: commit to 30 minutes of cardio activities 5 days per week and strength training 2 days per week. I will not overindulge on holiday foods but will enjoy myself :)

I love my Wii Fit. You can do step aerobics on it, jog, hula hoop and more. Check out Amazon and watch the demo video. May help you make your decision. I hate going to the gym also. :)

Actually Dr Oz recommended somewhere that you weigh yourself once a day to help you keep on track. I do it most days and it does keep me on track most of the time. My husband thinks its a bit much but he is in a NORMAL weight range ;)

You look amazing!!! Inspiration for me :) How tall are you?

That is great! That is one of my goals too. I weigh myself on our Wii Fit and one day I am hoping it will say overweight :)
