Hi Ryan! Welcome to MFP!! Hope you have a successful journey!

I am also a woman who is attracted to men who are slightly to moderately overweight. When I see men who are really fit, i think they are cute, but not for me. It's the guys who have a little extra all around that I am truly attracted to. It has been like that all my life!

Lol...when I was married, my husband and I would say the same thing. Now that I am single again, I still want a wife like that! What woman couldn't use someone in the household who cooks, cleans, and takes care of the kids!

It is neat to see how many people served, or are currently serving. I was US Army and Reserve from 1993 to 2001.

Sweet!

If I were in your situation, I think i would try to at least do a little workout. I am a creature of habit, and if I took a few days rest because I had a cold, I might not get back into the routine! If you are at all like me, then it is best to go workout a bit.

I think you did a great job. It seems like your weight loss was very healthy and probably a good idea too. You took yourself from the higher end of the "normal range" to the lower end, probably saving yourself from going over 25 BMI eventually. My goal weight is 150, which is good for my height, but I might reassess when I…

If you feel like you have lost weight, then maybe you have! Maybe you can't weigh yourself or do too much exercise, but you can watch what you eat until you feel like you can do more. I don't have nearly the challenge that you do, but I felt like if I tried to do too much at once, then I would fail. I didn't exercise when…

I noticed your smaller arms and bigger smile!

Wow, this wasn't even my topic, but I am so inspired to eat tuna right now....I am thinking boiled egg whites, lemon, garlic, and some other herbs!!
-
Lol...I am also trying to lose some baby weight...my youngest turns 14 in May! You are eleven years ahead of me! I am looking to add some friends, so feel free to add me if you wish. Good luck to everyone just starting out. I started on MFP early last month, and have been very fortunate so far. Logging in my calories works…

....you plan and prepare for a big meal out with your friends, and realize after you indulge in all your old treats that you just don't like the way that makes you feel anymore!

I was a Chairborne Ranger for a while during my service, and it is really surprising that you can gain so much weight. Some units' PT program really isn't enough to burn off the weight gaining calories, especially if the snack truck regularly stops at your building. Good luck with your weight loss journey!

I don't necessarily think that a lack of civility is a generational thing. I work in food service, and most people are quite nice when I smile and greet them. However, I am far more likely to have my greetings ignored by an older person. Are they really in such a hurry that "Hi, how are you?" needs to be followed…

The Girl Scout cookie forms I have seen do offer the option of sending cookies to the troops. Not only do the girls get credit for the cookies, but a member of our military gets the cookies, and the Scouts take care of the logistics. You get to keep your waistline too!

I loved the NY Mets and Giants growing up (both won championships when I was in elementary school.) However, since I have moved to Ohio, I have grown to love the Cleveland Indians. They gave us a great season last year, and we can still get tickets for $9.

Has anybody every tried this? I want Rum Twinkies!!
-
Congratulations on getting started...good luck with your journey. I hope you are already feeling healthier.

And here is what the children at that school were offered for lunch today, according to the Hoke County Schools website: Beef-A-Roni Steamed Cabbage Spiced Apples Constitutional Cornbread Valentine Sugar Cookie

I was a little suspicious of this article, so I did a little more digging and found this expanded article about the subject: http://www.carolinajournal.com/exclusives/homemade-lunch-replaced-with-cafeteria-nuggets.html There is a lot more information in this article, including the fact that the replacement meal contained…

We had heart shaped sugar cookies, red velvet cupcakes, and hershey's miniatures at work today. I bypassed the baked goods, and took two Hershey's Special Dark minis. Logged them into mfp and then let them melt in my mouth. 84 calories of chocolate goodness! No regrets!

Just googled "Bacon Brownies"...yes they do exist, and No I am not posting a recipe...I gained 5 lbs just looking at the picture...
-
I gained 50 lbs with my first, which I considered to be a good amount because I was underweight by about 20 lbs at the time. I started to lose weight after my daughter was born, but found myself in need of an obstetrician about 3 months later (uuummm..birth control, anybody??). I continued to lose weight for another month…

Lol...that's great! So, I have to be honest to my phone and my computer....go figure!!

My dad is in a similar situation. When he came to visit, I mentioned that I was eating healthy and had lost a few pounds. He claimed he was eating healthy too, as we sat at breakfast. Me...egg whites, whole grain toast, tomatoes, a bit of cheese. Dad...pecan roll! I have always respected his choice to live as he sees fit,…

It seems to me (I'm no expert but I did serve eight years in the Army) that being in the military takes discipline, and losing weight helps you learn some discipline. Seems like if you went to the recruiter with that story they would be excited to sign you up.
-
Wow..you really put it all out there. I admire you for admitting your problems. I am so sorry you are having a tough time. I weaned my last child almost 13 years ago, and I still remember the sad feelings I had at that time. It is a loss and I needed time to adjust to a different relationship with him. You really didn't…

If you can run 13.1, 26.2, etc...you are badder than me and my hats off to you! You can tattoo it, put it on your car, put a sign in your front yard, post it as your profile pic, and name your first born Half Marathon Smith!
