Gaining muscle comes from adequate protein intake, heavy-progressive loaded training, a small calorie surplus, and TIME. So some questions...... 1. Stats? - Height & Weight 2. Protein intake 3. Calories per day 4. Lifting regimen?

I want to bulk up and get swole too! How many protein shakes should I have a day? Everyone is always telling me I need to get protein in right after my workout but I was curious what you thought? Thanks!

To the OP. What @sjohnson__1 and @Wheelhouse15 have shared is spot on. Also, women don't build muscle nearly as efficiently as males. Because hormones and all that science stuff and what not.

Wait wait wait.......there is no way you had good nutrition if you were eating pop-tarts and ice cream daily! There is also no wayyyy you were able to stay in a caloric deficit by eating those type of foods either............... :trollface:

This. In the grand scheme of things if you have a well balanced diet there are no needs for protein shakes unless you're needing it for a "convenience" factor.

I use an app called "Multi-Year weight Training" it's only for the iPhone though. Fully customizable it was $5 and worth every penny!

It seems my commercial gym has shifted it's focus away from 1-on-1 training to "Team-Training" the majority of the classes are in the evening hours.
