Can you (or someone) post a screen capture of the way this looks on the Android? TIA

That feature is not available on the BlackBerry version, which I use. Actually I checked out the iPhone version (my wife's phone), and don't care for it because it does not give a single number of calories that I'm over/under for the week.

I'm concerned about what you said in your original post. You discuss your "weight loss" program MAINLY in terms of how much you exercise, and almost as a side note you mention that you "eat pretty good". I don't want to be too negative because I know you are trying so hard, and I want to agree with the others here that…

What motivated me to START doing cardio? The promise that more exercise would let me EAT MORE!

Try this: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/591066-weekly-calorie-spreadsheet

Yes. At the end of each day, put your MFP "total" (either a positive or a negative number). The last column of the spreadsheet simply shows how much you are currently over your budget (a negative number) or under your budget (a positive number) for the week. At the end of the week, that number should be close to zero.

Learn the word tendentious. It's Gary Taubes all over. It's typical of autodidacts. He's also rather a conspiracy theorist, and too much of a hothead -- he's very binary but the science of the human digestive system is not. I say this as a former Atkins dieter. I know it can work (it worked for me in 1996), but I also know…

He's right. You just need to keep to your budget and you'll be fine.

Try the steam-in-a-bag veggies that have their own sauce. Usually fairly low in calories (if you don't get the bags that include rice), and usually very tasty.

Four lbs a month is not bad at all... You have no idea how many people would LOVE to be in your shoes !

Abs are made in the kitchen... I say wait on toning those muscles until the diet has done its work.

Awesome! Just wonderful!

I don't know our age, but I plugged 30 into an on-line "ideal weight" calculator. Based on that, your gender (female), current weight (132) and height (5' 2"), you are in the "healthy" BMI range. You say you are exercising all the time and including weight lifting, and you are "more toned" and your love handles are…

I agree... this is a (yet another) broken feature of MFP, which will probably never get fixed. I will boast, though, that all of my days are true "logged food & exercise" days, not just "logged into MFP" days.

As of this morning, 635.

Ooops, I mean she'll enjoy it in cereal, not milk.

Apparently I was not right about this: According to baskingsharks.org, it DOES close its mouth -- to swallow its food! So there's something else I have in common with the basking shark.

Rachel, you are absolutely at the Gold level of benefits! Maybe we need to add a Platinum level for you !?!

Perhaps it is sad, the way being "disabled" is sad. Think of a man in a wheelchair -- it's sad to think that *each day* he has to get up, go to the restroom, get dressed, prepare his food, etc.... All of those activities that most of us take for granted are for him a daily struggle requiring planning, special equipment,…

I think with respect to the tasks I'm assigned, it is a part-time job.... but it does seem to occupy my mind much more than that, so it FEELS much more like full-time than it is in practice.

Tell your friends we have plenty of openings and we're hiring today. They could receive their first paycheck in one week!

You and Anj should be Vice Presidents I'm sure. I can only consider myself a mid-level manager, which is why I'm out doing interviews!

From 270 in June 2010, I reached Onederland last March and about 180 (my current weight) last October... so you can say a year, or you could say 6 months.
