I am new to this thread. I would like to try and challenge myself for 60 miles. I haven't a clue if that is an understated amount or overstated amount. But I will aim for at least that and if I can do more I will. :0)

Holy smokin spinach! These look amazing! I cannot wait to try them. Do they keep well if you make a batch ahead for the week? Thanks for posting this yummy recipe! Have an amazing day.

How are you doing with your ocean swimming? I most always will drink my fairshare of the salt water, but have gotten a little better with practice. I live in Florida, usually my open swims have been in the ocean. However, i recently went camping up at Rainbow River and swam for the first time in a river. That was very…

8. Water bottle is on the bike already. No need to waste time in transition taking a drink. Do it on the bike ride. The run has water stations as well. I love number 8. Hydration during transitions was drilled into my head last year, so I made sure to drink during both transitions. I will definitely do number 8 this year.…

I finished my first C25K work out yesterday. It was brutal but great. Doing those 1 minute running sprints, gave me a taste of what I used to be able to accomplish. I can't wait until I can say again, "I just finished a 6 mile run" I am SOOOO excited!!!!! Thanks to all who encourage! Kim

 I was born and raised in Florida. I have been in and out of water all my life....playing....not necessarily swimming. Last year, I joined my first Tri group. I was crazy anxious over swimming out to buoys. My coach had me swim with a floatie looking bean thing. I tied a long light weight cord around it and at the…

LOL! I just always had this mantra- no running until I get under 200. (17 lbs until then) I thought it would be to hard on the knees.

Can you use the app if you are 30 pounds overweight?

I use Splenda as a sweetener, I haven't heard too much negative about it. Whenever I make homemade soups I have to add total calories from each item added and then divide by total servings from your pot.

I get insanely hungry after hard workouts. That is the hardest time I have trying to control over eating. I am going to try the hot tea idea. :drinker:

Thanks for posting this, I had NO idea hard workouts may trigger a water weight increase.

I hope you feel better. This is one of my favorite quotes... “The brick walls are there for a reason. The brick walls are not there to keep us out. The brick walls are there to give us a chance to show how badly we want something. Because the brick walls are there to stop the people who don’t want it badly enough. They’re…

I am an avid camper so that has my vote; but with a group of friends....safety in numbers.

When I was training last year for my triathlon; i was the heaviest and least fit of the group that I belonged too. I was deadlast in everything we did. Week after week; Pokey little(not so little) puppy. I had to keep reminding myself that i wanted to look in the mirror and say 'I DID IT!' I did improve but never enough to…

Hi All Last year was a really great year for me. I was able to lose about 40 pounds, participated in my very first triathlon, WITH my daughter. THAT was an AWESOME day! However, shortly after that my job changed, stress increased and so did my eatting and consequently my weight went back up. I keep starting, but by end of…

I have that issue with my thighs and upper arms depending on the clothing I wear. I have found vaseline a cheaper alternative to the gel glides sold in running stores. But I agree with prior post to make sure your clothing isn't too tight and trying the wicking fabric based clothes.

Can't wait to try this, thanks! :drinker:

That is what I had last night for dinner! I did a good workout before so that I could make sure I fit those within my calorie goal.
