Ugh, this probably accounts for my slow progress. When I'm not at the gym I am a lazy *kitten*. I had a coworker that got rid of her chair and put her desktop on a high table, so she would be forced to stand all day at the office. She swore by it in terms of improved energy and productivity, it was an interesting concept.

Backpacking I would say is a heavy pack that's at least a quarter of your body weight, walking at a moderate to extreme incline/decline, so I would say no. You can call it aggressive walking if that makes you feel cool.

I had one of those jumbo ginger and molasses cookies. Not the crappy Starbucks kind, it was from a health food store and had chunks of crystallized ginger in it. No regrets.

I Indulge on seafood because I can't really get the good stuff at home. I would just limit the fried stuff and try to eat more steamed/grilled and maybe stick to 1 tropical drink per day, because those can add up with calories quick. Have a great time!
