Where the heck do you live? People actually say that stuff?!?

Thank you for bringing this travesty to our attention, OP. And thank you for your dedication to the integrity of the thread!

A great way to healthfully add calories is to add coconut oil to whatever you can (eggs, hot tea, stir-fry, brownies, etc...). I've heard that it has been really helpful for people with HIV and cancer.

Wow, I'm offended by that profile pic of yours, bikermike. Not because of the derogatory and misogynistic comment in regards to women, but because you forgot to include that anything with balls comes with problems, too. I enjoyed your comment, however.

Emrys is the name my spiritual community knows me by. I decided my weight loss was also a piece of my spiritual journey so I use it here, too. 1976 is the year I was born. The best year EVER!!

Hi everyone! After several weeks of dreading the inescapable weight gain, I started my reset 2 weeks ago. Based on what I've read in these forums, I was planning on a big weight gain once I started my reset because I have a history of eating disorders that have involved some VLC periods. I relapsed last year so my…

Mine can't keep her hands off me :blushing: She hasn't been able to make any progress in her weight loss, though, so sometimes it causes some discomfort because I've had some success so far.

I hadn't thought about taking the average of the two - thanks for that idea! And thanks for the reassurance! @bsinno - lol! i have some cake in the kitchen I've been avoiding all day. Perhaps I'll have a small slice tonight in your honor :D

Also - a BMI of 1891?? I think I've eaten that much in a day MAYBE once or twice per month (on average) for the past six months. Have I really been starving my body THAT badly??? My poor body :frown:

since 1/4-1/3 of my daily calories come from fruits and veggies, yeah, i add them to my diary. It also helps me make sure I'm getting enough fruits and veggies each day.

I have to stick to a fairly tight budget as well. Only buy what is on sale (especially in the produce and meat sections), buy what you'll need for 2-3 months while it's on sale, and use coupons when you can. If you play your cards right, you can fill your freezer and pantry for next to nothing and get fresh produce, meats,…

^this^ it's hard to know if that's the answer since you're diary isn't open. also consider what you've eaten today - healthier is better for energy while sugars and simple carbs lead to crashes. did you drink enough water today? did you get enough sleep last night? how much are you exercising? are you possibly overtraining…

You were beautiful before, but you look amazing now! Great job!

I didn't see anyone address your medical bills - contact the financial counselors there if you haven't already. Ask them how to apply for assistance. Almost all hospitals have some sort of program for people struggling financially. My brother and his wife racked up 20,000 in medical bills after she and both of their girls…

I guess some people don't like a bird getting locked in a tight cage with a tube down its throat while it's force fed multiple times a day for weeks until they either die from sickness or reach adequate size. Silly animal rights people. [/quote] Rights? For animals? Ridiculous!! (definitely kidding!)

After several weeks of 1200 calorie days, I decided to have a cheat meal at my favorite bbq joint. Pulled pork, ribs, mac & cheese, tator tots covered in brunswick stew and cheddar, jalapeno cornbread, fried pickles and jalapenos, and banana pudding. Went to do my grocery shopping afterwards and decided the cheese danishes…

As a bigger girl myself, it's actually a relief to see people who are more average in size working in a gym. I even had a trainer once who was probably a size 10 or 12 and she was crazy-fit - I loved working with her! I've had so many experiences with gyms where everyone has practically no body fat and it isn't inspiring…

I delete ppl who consistently net/eat really low calories or who ruminate on eating disordered thinking. It's not because I'm judging them, it's because I'm trying to recover from EDs and it is hard to do that when someone is triggering me constantly.

Nothing is good if you eat too much of it. Avoiding fruit because of sugar, however, is not necessarily a healthy option either. It has so many good things - vitamins, minerals, fiber, micronutrients - that is hard to get from other sources. And not to be rude to the personal trainer, I am careful about taking advice from…

i use it as well - I use certain dry roll-on. Works like a charm!

I was diagnosed with PCOS about 10 years ago. Weight loss came very difficult to me for a long time because I had to do a lot of trial and error to figure out how my body worked (and I'm still trying to figure it all out, honestly!). I definitely have all the typical stuff - too much hair, excess sweating, amenorrhea,…

I know a lot of thin non-diabetic people who live like this. While it's true that most people with type 2 diabetes have not lived the healthiest possible lifestyle, there is a reason they were more prone to developing diabetes than other people. And if you can't say what you really want to in life, perhaps your thoughts…

I reversed my type 2 diabetes by following a few simple ideas: 1. I try to keep my carbs at 30-40 per meal; 15-20 per snack 2. I eat protein EVERY time I eat and I try to keep my carb:protein ratio around 2:1, higher on protein is more ideal than higher carb 3. I cut myself a break a few times a week and go a little high…
