Re: sugars...I don't mean to beat a dead horse, but perhaps that's the problem with the advice you got from the nutrionalist. Everything I've heard from doctors to trainers, to everything I've read (and in my personal experience) says sugar spikes have only to do with the type of index the food you have eats, plus your…

so - from this peak, for a few weeks1200-1300 with a mix up of calories throughout the week, plus a drop in carbs to about 100, add in fruit throughout the day (I think limiting to morning is for no good reason at all) remember your body needs glycogen to burn all day. Fruit is a good way to get there. Protein seems okay.…

Oh! So one other thing...have you considered (or do you already) take supplements for nutritional augmentation? If there is a deficiency there it would help. I use Spirulina and from time to time I've used Green Coffee bean extract. it's a food that's been proven via research to lower body fat and weight in participants…

Hmmm...sounds pretty good. I'd add a last snack since your fasting blood sugar will drop you off at the end of the day and you'll be more hungry (That is your body will desire more) in the morning and good regular blood sugar is important to physical peak. I'm curious what your nutritional intake is. I mean to say, what…

Hey there - so I've been on a bit of a journey but I found consistency in "inconsistency" and noticing the "small" things matters quite a bit with health. Some thoughts: 1. Mix things up so your body doesn't figure it out right away. I mean don't eat the same amt. of calories every single day. Aim at weeklong goals and mix…

Basically, those numbers are general guidelines. You really have to see how your body feels. If your caloric consumption is between 1300-1800 and your exercise vigorously you should be perfectly fine. But your real goal should be fitness not weight loss, you know? Caloric and muscle confusion are key...as is exercise. If…

Yah. Body fat is a toughie. I have a gym embers hip and what I do is simply ask them to let me test my body fat about once a month. That way I can at least see trending. The interesting part is that even trainers don't believe 1. My weight, and 2. Body fat %...funy how little an exact science things are. :-)

You bet! We share and move along together! Let's go!

It's a BMI thing, I think. I mean, I know I need to still gain physical fitness. My SiFu is helping me become more flexible and gain endurance for forms, and better physicality for peak physical performance. I think Im aiming for top shape, you know?

Most average! People tell me all the time the pictures don't do me justice. lol! Im just glad Im moving now. I was totally sedentary before...life has a way of creeping up on us, huh? Let's go! :-) You'll be amazing I am certain of it!

Brad - you're right. I'm 6ft tall...and right now although my BMI points to me being "overwieght" i never felt better. Getting there is half the fun, so to speak!

Thanks. It's funny...I get people asking all the time what I'm doing. I think they expect me to share a secret pill or eating a specific food only...but it really was a combination of a lot different factors...most of which were exercise, eating right and well...more exercise. :-) i wonder how many will focus on that? I've…
