Writing that one handed...?

My best advice is to buy and read "The New Rules of Lifting for Women" Basic advice is to do compound exercises such as deadlifts, squats, lunges, bench press, shoulder press, barbell rows, (weighted) chin ups. Do these using a weight that you can do somewhere between 8 and 12 reps before you physically can't do any more.…

So my choice is 'or death'?...I'll have the chicken then please
-
See, I think YOU are nitpicking. I have a life thanks and it is ****ing awesome...cheers for your concern though...
-
Yes, and clearly coming off of drugs and/or alcohol would fit into being healthier, surely?
-
My life is awesome and I'm happy 99% of the time. Even the crap stuff is good because it gives me a frame of reference for all the other awesome that is coming my way. In short - happy.

Sounds like genocide to me

Seriously - I have no idea what a detox detoxifies. Can anyone explain what the idea behind detoxes are?
-
Also - I'm a perfectly healthy 190+lb guy and my clavicle is quite clearly showing. Just a ridiculous, ridiculous comment based nowhere in reality. @OP - making a lot of assumptions about exercise etc, but I would say that you are probably eating roughly the right amount of calories. As for exercise - if you don't already…

try farm shops. I get mine from a farm shop and not only is it much better quality meat, it is a hell of a lot cheaper.

Evil....No Selfish as hell....yes Seriously..."I can't keep my big mouth shut from all the sugary goodness for a couple of days so instead I will deny my children some fun times" Why not tell them Christmas is off as well cos you can't help but gorge on Christmas Cake? You're an adult - you suffer for your children, not…

Slight amendment to that though - And then person disagrees with your choice, stomps their feet and whines until you go get the book that they want even though they asked you which they should because you have knowledge in that area and they do not for them and paraphrase the whole thing

I read "Chapstick me to death" and had a whole different image in my head...
-
I read through 5 pages before posting that because I was convinced that someone would have corrected it.....
-
I prefer biltong...
-
The analogy is actually flawed. To be accurate it would be to say that you are in a library, but instead of reading the books for reference you ask everyone in there for the answers...

You say you've been a yoyo dieter in the past though. If you're still doing what you used to, then nothing is going to change. You need to work out what an appropriate amount to eat is and stick to it, even if it's more than you feel comfortable with. You may even put on a few lbs for the first couple of weeks if you've…

Should be included as part of your activity level, surely?
-
Well they don't specify if they want to lose a lb of fat or a cubic inch of fat...HOW ARE WE TO FUNCTION IN A WORLD WHERE EVERY DETAIL ISN'T SPELLED OUT FOR US LIKE WE ARE MORONS?!?!?! ARGHHH

I can't help but reply to the pedants though...this is one thing the trolls will always win with for me.....
-
Seriously - what is wrong with this guy's comments? There is absolutely nothing wrong with putting value on your partner's appearance. Myself, I am not willing to settle for less and the result of that is that I have a girlfriend who is not only cool, funny, intelligent and loads of other stuff, but she is also frikkin hot…

Yes it is - and things can be measured in a variety of ways. Muscle and fat can be measured to give us a volume. They can also be weighed to give us a weight. When the volumes are the same for both of these things their weights will be different.
-

A gallon of muscle DOES weigh more than a gallon of fat....am I being trolled?
-
I'm just glad there seem to be more people in this camp than camp obtuse over there...
-
People disagreeing with that statement is a bug bear of mine... I understand why people disagree with the statement 'muscle weighs more than fat' but really, those people are either being deliberately objective or are incapable of making appropriate assumptions given conversational context. Clearly, in the above statement,…

If you have only been able to save £2 a week, then I don't see how you would be able to afford £6 per session at the gym. Also - that sounds like a crappy deal to me...£45 joining fee and £6 each visit?! That is crazy expensive. Go to your local council Sports Centre and you will most likely find a much better deal than…

Well I used one of these and it worked really well. I used to use this and the equivalent knee brace version when I was fighting and training and they really are good. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2-x-LONSDALE-NEOPRENE-ADJUSTABLE-ELBOW-SUPPORTS-SPORTS-BANDAGE-BRACE-WRAP-OSFA-/290792624990#vi-content
