'They're not qualified then.' Is that part of the course? "...Ok, we've covered Cardio; now onto vomiting..." lol

:drinker:

Ok first - if you're going to correct people's grammar and syntax, you ought to get it right yourself. 'Nauseous', not 'nauseas'. Secondly. Times have changed. Words take on new meanings and language evolves. It is now generally accepted that nauseous can be used in both the sense of causing nausea, and having the effects…

Yea, I feel nauseated sometimes when I exercise. Particularly if it is only a couple of hours since a large meal. Also - when I have pushed myself right to my cardio limits I feel sick and have once actually been sick...

I get all my meat from the local farm shop...all of it. It tastes better, it isn't pumped with water etc, I'm confident in it's natural..ness..., and it's a hell of a lot cheaper!!

There is actually evidence that stretching prior to and during lifting can be detrimental to your strength (in that session). Stretching afterwards is beneficial, however.
-
So in your case it seems justified. But billions of people have been through this. It IS normal, and suggesting to someone at a vulnerable time that they might now be suffering from depression is just likely to fuel the fire. I was sad for like 9 months or more after my first break up - but it was my first gf, we were…

Exactly this...

Look at my before pic(s?). 140lbs to 192lbs helped in no small part to all the protein I've had...and I'm still alive - proof if ever there was any that protein doesn't kill you! Your views tend to stray drastically away from mainstream I have found, as evidenced by this bout of scaremongering. Most people on here will…
-
No, you're not helpful. People are far too eager to get to a doctor without being suggested because something bad has happened which has made you sad. If everyone who broke up went to the doctor because they were sad we'd need 10 times as many doctors.
-
Dude - don't see a doctor. You're not ill, you're upset over a break up. It's not something that is wrong with you. Just push through it. It's awful - just the worst feeling ever - but it passes. I don't know if you've ever been through anything like that before, but if not then believe me - time heals. It's a cliché, but…

That is Charles Manson making Charles Manson faces... :ohwell:

Scarily; reminds me of this...

Why is anyone bothering responding to this guy? I've never seen him make one post where he makes sense and yet people keep letting him bait them. I've never really been 100% sure he is a troll until I saw his - Bill Clinton is alive therefore protein is bad - comment.
-
We've seen that you've written this a few times but the answer still stands that as a rule, MFP tends to underestimate protein and that you should be aiming for 1g per lb of lean body mass. Especially if you are exercising.

Sorry dude - not really interested in religious propaganda
-
I don't think they have it locked - but I seem to encounter more Atheists who like to mock those people who believe and act all 'holier-than-thou' (pardon the pun) than I do the other way round. I think it's the same group of people who refuse to accept any training ideas, no matter how tried and tested, unless it has a…
-
Yea, I have to say I find a larger proportion of Atheists seem to fall into the douchey preachy category than people of religion.
-
Atheist - but I hope I'm wrong!
-
This. 120 is still probably too low unless you're on 1200 cals/day
-
Who, you?
-
Basically - for weight loss yes but it won't all come from fat and you'll likely feel like crap For fat loss and looking good - IIFYM - so you couldn't just eat crap the whole time. To get the most out of exercise then even IIFYM isn't ideal. You need to eat the right things and at the right time e.g. sugary foods spike…

Drugs is a minor infringement compared with curling in the squat rack. So to go the extra mile and teach people HOW to curl in the squat rack...punishable by death...
-
Regarding the wrapping in plastic - is that not an option during the workout though? A bit of cling film so you don't mess up the equipment and take it off straight afterwards?
-
I dislike people who defend their ****ty manners by saying "I'm just being honest..." Learn some social etiquette and social awareness. Why do some people feel it is ok to be brutally honest about everything like they are doing the other people a favour? Just keep your goddamn mouth closed sometimes. And sometimes it's ok…

My friend over there wants to know if you think I'm hot....
-
I would hate to think that because I was lazy and let myself go that I would just expect my gf to have to put up with me because she loves me. Sure, it's nice if someone does love you no matter what, but why would you want to force the 'no matter what'?
-
The dude is a hypnotist who basically gives you cues to kerb whatever your bad issue is, be it smoking, fear of flying or overeating. I think the idea is to tap into the natural sense of how much to eat. Most overweight people get that way not initially through more hunger than the average person, but comfort eating etc.…

Whoah - stream of consciousness... First - you aren't bulky - not by most people's standards (I guess a lot of communicative issues stem from people having differing opinions on what constitutes 'bulky'). Bulging veins comes mainly from low body fat. I'm pretty confident you would not look like a weightlifter if you…
-
No, I think when most people talk about tonight they are talking about fat loss, potentially combined with some hypertrophy. Muscle is lean by definition so you don't build lean muscle - you build muscle. And anyone who is worried about getting weight lifter large needs to understand how long it takes to gain even a small…
