And sugar is one molecule away from being antifreeze....but I still eat it.

I aim for a MINIMUM of 1200 and that is if I've had no exercise. However, I love food so I work out to have more calories and enjoy every extra bite. I don't usually eat all of my exercise calories though.

It has too much sodium, but Palermo's margharita frozen pizza only has 390 calories for half of it, a regular sized pizza! I add diced red peppers and mushrooms to it since it only has cheese, tomatoes and herbs. I also buy hugeee bags of frozen blueberries, strawberries, broccoli, peas, edamame, chicken tenderloins, and…

Ohh my gosh! Thank you for posting this topic. I love it! Everyone is amazing and so inspiring! Great work everyone, I'm so proud of you all!

ETA how I did it. I got off my butt and just started walking, saw results, started logging, changed up my diet to eat healthier, made room for snacks in my diet, got rid of toxic people in my life, started running after walking 1,000 miles. :)

I can't. My husband already fears me.
-
Haaa! I noticed that too. I'm thinking it was done on purpose though. lol

I had a hard time at first too, until I read that if you can slow down at all, you're going too fast! You can also start walking first, then walk longer, then pick up speed before you try jogging again. I'm an old lady, grandma of 4, and if I could do it after not running since high school, you can too! I'm now on the 5k…

I bought some of the chocolate. It's gross. Now I just eat meatttt instead.

All it does is control the amount of food you're eating in one serving. Measure out your food with a scale and have 5 smalls meals of food you'd rather eat. Yes, it's more work, but you're worth the effort. Add protein to it and you'll feel full longer too.

My awesome family! My chocolate lab, Hazel. Dates (not the fruit!) Being able to let of of the toxic people who were ruining my life. Sweat dripping off my face and splatting onto the treadmill. And to think I used to think this was gross! Running Polar FT4 My toys. :) Size 8 jeans. Food Snow Drugs (umm yeah, legal drugs)…

I have back/knee/tailbone issues also and use a stability ball to do situps. I also do leg lifts in a pool by hanging on the end of the diving board. The water helps support your body but with plenty of reps you can get an awesome ab workout. You can also use it to work your arms.

I took it years ago for about a week and it made me feel sick. I was shaky, had headaches, insomnia and was just plain miserable. It's like overdosing on caffeine. I can't even imagine trying to work out while on that stuff now. Yuck!

Think back to before you wanted to lead a healthier lifestyle. Now ask yourself how motivated you would be if your HUSBAND gave YOU that ultimatum? Would it inspire you to get healthier? Probably not. He has to do it on his own and working through his depression is what he has to do first. He has to be able to CARE about…

1,000 (my 2013 mileage goal, by walking/jogging/running/biking/hiking this year)
-
I think it depends on what your goals are. For me, since I use a treadmill, it was easier to finish the program with time. If you want to pick up speed, start adding some faster intervals. If distance is what you want, try it out. You may be surprised at how well you can do the entire 5k. If you still need a challenge,…

Ignore them. You are doing this for you, not them. It is none of their business. If they are rude and won't drop the subject, ask them why on earth they would care about what YOU are eating. I'm sure it's an issue with themselves. Don't let it get you down!

51 here. Yes, it is harder to lose weight as we age but I think it's because we aren't working as hard, our kids are (usually) grown, we don't go out as often, get lazier, sit around more and lose muscle. Then our metabolism nose-dives! I didn't start to lose weight until I started eating right and moving more, just what…

Swine flu in 2009. It took me a month to get over it and I had to use inhalers every 3 hours for 2 weeks, even at night, just to breathe. It was horrible! I have not missed a flu shot since. Actually I just got over this years flu and it was also type A but not near as bad as that swine flu was. Food poisoning a few years…

C25K to 10K bridge W11D3, plus sledding and riding Atvs in this glorious snow!

Amazing! Congratulations! Walking/hiking/biking/jogging/running 2012 1,045 miles. Mostly walked/jogged.

Bumping - because I don't drink and I get sick of the comments too!

I'm doing the C25K to 10K bridge and would love to get inspiration from others and to also help those just starting out. I had a LOT of setbacks doing C25K, I'm 51 and I did it! I started in May and didn't finish until Nov, due to a broken foot. So, I honestly feel that if I could get through those obstacles, I may be able…

I don't eat it anymore because of the sodium, but when I did, I loved it just plain.

I was 16 years old, and probably weighed 95lbs, if that, when a person told me that I was getting fat and was going to look just like my older sister who was 20 and obese. I became anorexic over that comment, I guess because I didn't like my sister and didn't want to look anything like her. I see pictures of me from then…

About 2 weeks ago. 40lbs and 40+ inches less than a year ago. :)
