Hello! Peoria, Illinois here.

Weird. Maybe they mean that if you have huge muscles from lifting heavy, THEN you stop and they sag? What's better? Lifting and being healthy with saggy muscles later or having fat that makes you physically ill? Id' rather sag later, I probably will anyway. Who cares?

First of all I'm so sorry about your son. :( I hope he and you are doing better now. I agree with you 100% about the counseling!!! When I first started MFP, I had no clue as to why I was overeating until I realized that I had to remove toxic people from my life. I literally had NO clue as to why I was overeating and…

I'd rather do the 280 calorie Snickers diet.

IMO, Yes, I think it's a cop out for everyone who wants an easy, quick fix without effort. Well it's not easy, either way! I'll get bashed for it but.. my sister has always been lazy and wanted to lose weight with a magic wand. She wanted to eat junk and never, ever exercised. She wouldn't even walk half a block down her…

I travel on the road a lot, so I'll never give up fast food entirely. Instead, I have Subway (6 inch wheat/turkey/spinach/lettuce/tomatoes/peppers/mustard), Taco Bell (2 or 3 crunchy beef fresco tacos)or Arbys (a junior roast beef & side salad with light dressing on the side). I can fit several of their choices into my…

I once read on here that the most important meal after a binge is your next meal. Learn from it and eat your next meal the way you should. Why wait?

Once I've had my morning pain pill, vitamins, breakfast and coffee, I'm good for the day. But hey, I'm in my 50's. :)

Hello, I am 51, lost 40lbs from January 2012 until May2012. I went from a way too tight size 16 (because I refused to buy an 18) to a size 8. I lost 45+inches and have since gained about 8lbs in muscle weight. I started out walking and now I can jog 5 miles and I'm planning on entering a local 5k this summer, just so I can…

I just slice it and put it on a turkey or chicken sandwich with some spicy mustard. It tastes sooo much better than nasty mayo!

Oh gosh, you all have some really good ideas. I may have to add a few!

This! I know I've done this on my own without the help from money, plastic surgeons and a private instructor or chef!

1.. Had my swimsuit bottoms fall off, down to my knees in the lake, luckily I was able to pull them up. It didn't seem like they were that big when I put them on! 2. I met up with a new friend I met while camping, to go for a hike. I had been tucking my phone into my bra all summer with no problem, so I did it again that…

Ignore them. I loveee going out with friends and ordering the 'king cut' of prime rib. They look at me like they are thinking wtf?? And, I love it. lol

Good for you and congrats! That is how I got started. I knew I had to do something, so like you, I just got up and walked. A year later, I'm down 40lbs, lost 46 inches and I feel like a different person. Keep it up, it is soooo worth the effort!

Peanut butter, nutella, mayonaise, raisins, cheese if it's on a burger (gag), pepperoni (bigger gag), sausage, salamis, bologna, nearly all 'lunch meats', beef sticks, regular soda (rarely, I'll have a diet soda), most gravies, margarine, most cottage cheese, any chicken with bones, animal fat (like on the edge of meat…

Overweight for fat, underweight for too thin. There isn't anything difficult about it.
