  • I don't know which is healthier, but I would go for the PB&J.
  • I drink 2 cups a day with Splenda and 2% Evaporated Milk. It tastes wonderful and gives me 16% of my daily calcium. Before MFP I drank at work and used the non dairy flavored coffee creamers. I usually wake up hungry, so yes, this stops my hunger pains until breakfast.

  • Well, this is my top ten, Could be better, but could be a lot worse, too. :) 100% Whole Wheat Bread Carnation - 2% Evaporated Milk Barber's - Trumoo Chocolate 1% Lowfat Milk Bananas Smart Balance Omega Dsf - Natural Peanut Butter Creamy Back to Nature - California Almonds Baby Broccoli Blend Multigrain Tortilla Chips 2%…
  • So do I! Running after losing weight is sooo much easier.
  • Before you eat those tortillas (or whatever), stop and remind yourself that eating that junk will only make you feel worse. You've had a rough time recently......you will have rough times again and again. If exercise is your stress reliever, then find what you can do with the kids around. Yoga is a great place to start, so…
  • I made it to my mid-30s with all my wisdom teeth and then I got a cavity in one. Most likely because I could never get back there to floss and brush appropriately. Anyway, they did give me the choice to take 1 or 4, but recommended that I go with all four so I wouldn't have to do it again if I had any other issues with the…
  • Well, I completely lucked out and won a Polar FT60. I love it! Absolutely amazing...it tracks my calories burned, and has training settings for various goals, including weight loss. Tracks time spent in each zone and gives you feedback on your training. From my understanding, the HRMs with straps are more accurate and…
  • You look great in your pics, BTW! Two weeks isn't long enough to determine your weight loss. If you raised your calories recently, it can take weeks, maybe even a couple of months, for your body to adjust. I'm sure you know this already, though. Not losing is frustrating....may you find success soon!
  • Polar FT60 is my HRM and I love it! Definitely keeps me on track. My info is stored adn it updates my weight (or reminds me to do so) periodically. It's been a great help in tracking my fitness.
  • You can add me if you like. I'm currently switched to maintenance and finding it particularly challenging. It's like still being on a diet, but not. :)
  • Feeling fat and disgusting and still not being able to stop eating Nutella straight out the jar. Something in my head told me this just wasn't quite right. ...well that, and the fact that my "fat" clothes were getting too tight.
  • Love the scanner feature and I use it all the time, but make sure you look at it to see if it's correct. Just yesterday I scanned in Blue Bell Red Velvet Cake ice cream and it listed Ultimate Neapolitan in my diary with that product's nutrtional value. I have also had it list an entirely different brand altogether or the…
  • Well, people in my workplace knew because there were several of us on a program but other than that I really didn't advertise. Some people have said nothing and others have said very positive things about the weight loss. I did it very slowly this time, so it wasn't like it was a drastic change in a short amount of time.…
  • I have a Polar FT60 and love it. It monitors and has several training plans depending on your goals. A friend at work just bought the FitBit. He is really enjoying it but it's not a HRM. I'm still not real sure of its accuracy since it does not monitor your heart rate for calories burned. That being said, it is a cool…
  • Let us know. I just eat all day and couldn't imagine one meal making me happy or holding me over for a whole day. If you open your diary, would love to see how you are doing this. Not that I'm changing anything, :) This girl likes to eat and I pretty much do it all day (my diary is open). Either way, I wish you success!
  • Are you really only going to eat one meal a day for the rest of your life?
  • For my estimation I just used the 220 minus my age. What caught my attention on the matter was an article about how working out at a higher percentage was considered anaerobic, and then I further looked into it and found articles on anaerobic zones and they highlighted that these are reached during HIIT so I'm left more…
  • Thank you. I will have to look up the HRR because I really haven't heard of that. My HRM is always trying to get me to train in a lower zone, so using it has really made me pay attention to where my heart rate is during a workout.
  • I run once or twice a week right now. I don't really measure distance but I run for at least 35 minutes right now. Other days I alternate between elliptical (which I don't think does much aside from the cardio aspect) and walking at an incline on the treadmill, which has really helped me with running and is not so hard on…
  • 1. Did you eat the number of calories that MFP recommended to lose max weight or something higher? If more, how much more? For the first three months I ate 1200 calories a day. We were doing a biggest loser sort of thing at work and after the final weigh in I upped my cals to 1450 because I was just so sick of "dieting"…
  • I actually did a search so as not to repeat this same issue. I don't think a day goes by when I don't see someone stress about how they're supposed to survive on 1200 calories. I'm surprised people take the time to respond anymore. And maybe that's why a lot of the responses tend to not be very nice. Just an observation.
  • I fudged 15 pounds and said I was 140. Now I'm 130, so it's ten pounds wrong but that's okay.
  • I'm from San Antonio...even lived in Ft Worth for 3 1/2 years. After traveling all over the place in the military, I finally retired in Mississippi and love it here.
  • I like to run outside, not on the treadmill. My treadmill workout is walking on an incline. I've worked up to 15% (highest at my gym) at a slow pace (3.2 mph) for 45 minutes. I concentrate more on my heart rate, so I adjust accordingly.
  • Move on and don't put him in that spot again. Totally unfair. You should give him kudos for not flat out lying to you just to pacify you (which actually seems to be what you wanted).

  • Log everything, keep your diary public. For three months I lived on 1200 cals plus exercise cals. Then I started upping my calories and working out a little less obsessively and you know what? I kept losing at the same (maybe even better) rate and I was a much happier person. Still inching my cals up to find my maintenance…
  • Peanut Butter Whole Grain Bread Tuna Frozen Veggies Frozen Talapia Filets TruMoo Chocolate Milk Almonds Bananas Yogurt Cream of Wheat Oatmeal Chicken Breast Fallback Meal: Pan Cooked Talapia with Garlic and Lemon with a big serving of steamed veggies. The whole thing can be done in about ten minutes.
  • I guess OP's original post was edited and deleted the text? I understand what's going on, though. I lived in GA for almost eight years and loved it...moved to Mississippi in 2008 and you know what, I love it here, too. I have chickens, grow vegetables and embrace the slower pace of life. This may not be true in all areas…
  • Morning run in the neighborhood. HRM gives me 417 for my efforts. :)
  • Why can't you eat pizza? Denying yourself is what leads to failure in the first place. Just have two or three slices, not the whole pizza....make up for it somewhere else in your day or just call it a weekly cheat. Whatever works for you!
