Good article, and I totally agree!

I have been through this more than once as I lost over 100 lbs before, and am now re-losing it. What is in the above quote is also the conclusion I came to! :) Find out what clothes make you look your best, and remember that YOU don't like/dislike people based on how they look naked, so why do you think everyone else is…

My personal opinion is that if you haven't tried small curd, 4% milk fat cottage cheese, you really haven't tried it at all. The low fat, no fat versions are HORRIBLE! I WILL NOT eat that kind!!!!! :)

Awwwww, I hope he is happy and successful and that you are happy and feeling good about it!

Has to be water weight, but as fast as you lose and gain, I seriously would want to check with a doctor about medical issues. Putting on THAT much water weight can be a medical issue. Not that they'll get to the bottom of it...doctors rarely seem to these days - but it might be worth checking into! I don't call that a…

Add me if you like!

1. Put your info in here at MFP, let them set up how many calories to eat for how much you'd like to lose. 2. Buy a digital food scale. 3. Log every food that goes into your mouth, and use the food scale in grams and ounces whenever possible to measure your food. Always remember that oil, and butter used in preparation of…

What amazing inspiration!!! These pics really tell the story!

I would just add to keep some cardio in there too for your heart's sake!

I want to thank everyone for your advice! It had helped a lot. In response to the quote above: It should be a walk in the park, but never having been physically fit in my life, and adding chronic illness to it, believe me when I say, it's not a walk in the park!!! But the good news is, I'm much better off now than when I…

I love it!!! Thanks for sharing!!! NEVER GO BACK!

It's amazing and wonderful what you have done, and what you have learned from it. I lost over 116 lbs. in 9 months a few years ago, and learned many of the same things you did. I have since gained most of it back, and am now on the journey again, with about 37-38lbs. to go until goal. Thank you for reminding me of some of…

That's amazing!!! Great job!!!!! I give myself two of what I call "no count days" a month. Same thing as what you are saying, and I've worried about the slow down effect too, but also feel I need those days!!! When I go into maintenance I plan to keep my calories very low for 6 days of the week and allow myself one day a…

Wow! Your plan is almost exactly what I've figured out for myself!!!! I'm 60 lbs. down and have 38lbs. to go. I just thought it was amazing that our eating plan, and days off were right on, only I do not log on my every other Saturday, just estimate. :) You've done great, and I'm happy to see that my action plan has a good…

You are doing great!!!! I'm right there with you! I've lost 60 and have about 38 to go. Keep it up - you're doing wonderfully!!!!
-
Even if you eat as low as 1200 calories a day, you can plan it to where you can eat 6 times a day. Do you think this might help you? I'm not suggesting you go that low, but just for an example: 200 calorie Breakfast, 100 calorie snack, 200 calorie lunch, 100 calorie snack, 500 calorie dinner, 100 calorie snack. If you do…

In addition to what has already been said about logging your food/keeping a food diary, I would say to buy a good digital food scale and anything you can weigh in grams or ounces, do! It helps so much!!!! You are doing wonderfully on your exercise, but don't start an exercise routine you can't maintain. Do what you KNOW…

I applaud you, but NO WAY! I keep semi-sweet chocolate chips around almost always so I can easily weigh them out in grams and have some as long as it fits into my calories for the day! *Sorry! Had to edit this once I read it better!!!! I only saw the part about giving up chocolate and not that it was for Lent, like the…

I have lost over a hundred once and gained it back also. I'm 55lbs. into the second time around, and I have learned all of the same things you mentioned!!! It's nice to know I'm not alone here. :) Thank you for sharing and for being so encouraging!!!!

I feel the same way. Do this because YOU are going to feel better. There is a big difference between the pics you put up - you've done an amazing job, are pretty, and should not listen to what those girls said. Please don't allow their words to keep going in your head. Fight it, and put good things in their place.…

That is a HUGE change! I don't know why so many people don't say anything. I have lost about 55lbs. and very few people mention it!!!! It IS upsetting when you have been working so hard at it for months, but we just have to remember the reasons we are doing it, and make sure we have plenty of small goals that we reach…

You can do this, and this is a wonderful place to find support!!!!
-
I really like my Taylor stainless steel digital scale. I hope you find one you love! They are so handy.
-
Are you still keeping a food diary and logging everything?
-
I love mine with sunflower seeds and pepper. :)

I'm 5' 7.5" and when I weighed 140 people thought I was anorexic, and I really was small! :) I think that everyone is different, but it sounds like a very small amount to weigh if you are 6 '!!!! You must have a tiny frame!!!!!
-
Just amazing!!!!! I'm SO HAPPY for you!!!!!!!!!!!! Congratulations!

I have much the same situation as you. My mom's side always struggled with weight, but at the same time, I feel it's more my emotions, and I want to eat when happy, sad, etc. My Dad also LOVES to feed people and is just happy when everyone is stuffed!!! It's kind of been my family's way to console each other, celebrate,…

That it's getting smaller! :D

I feel EXACTLY the same way! I've lost 27 lbs. and I'm JUST NOW getting the comments that they can see it a little bit in my face!!!!! I'm like...."My face???" I'm glad of that, but I don't think I've lost 27 lbs. of face! I've been through this many times and for me, others don't really start to notice until I've lost 60…
