Hey guys! I am not new around here, but my weight has spiked to its highest ever. I have a Hypoactive thyroid and not officially diagnosed with Hashimoto's, but dr says most likely I do have it. I'm also looking for some support as I have around 75 to lose. Feel free to add me.

You look awesome! You accomplished a huge weightloss in a short amount of time. Great job. Also, thanks for the motivation to not give up. Having a tougher week and this helped a lot. Good luck on the rest of your journey!

Sounds like your goals and experiences are similar to mine. I am on week 3 and finally serious about it this time. It took me two or three times to get to the point of seriousness. Also, I have tried every diet around: Jenny Craig, LA Weightloss, Low carb, No carb, Weight Watchers, extreme calorie restriction. I am finally…

Way to go on both losses! I need to be better at taking measurements and pics to see progress. The scale has been so unkind as of late :(
-
Thanks for posting this question. I am taking my measurements later this week (maybe next). Sometimes it does feel like the scale slows a bit, but I have heard from many that as you stick with it the scale drops. Congrats on the loss of inches, that's what matters the most!!!

Your hard work has paid off. You look amazing. You're such an inspiration.

Thanks for posting this. I just got a Polar FT4 (I think that's the number) and tried it out today. When I did a HIIT workout it said I burned like 225 calories. Felt like I burned 2,000...HAHA!!!

I agree that working out first thing in the morning is a good idea. That's what I do. I like to spend evenings with my little girl and husband and to just lounge. If I don't make time early in the morning, I won't do it at all. Make sure to be realistic about how many days you will workout at first and then build up to…

Sorry just noticed you were looking for people who had success doing it. I will say it was a very interesting read and has continued to push me to eat better and eat more veggies even if I didn't stick to it 100%. Good luck to you. Let us know how you do.

Congrats on the wonderful accomplishment. I also have hypothyroidism, so you give me great hope that I too can lose weight. Way to go!!!!

I am no fitness expert (obviously lol), but I agree with what this poster said. Take some time and give your body what it needs, a rest. Nourish your body with some good fruits and veggies and a well rounded diet along with some walking. You have been through a lot and stress can reek havoc on a body. Taking tender loving…

Hmm that is interesting. I have read where people have become increasingly hungry while regulating their thyroid. Maybe your body is trying to tell you that you need to increase your calories. Try uping it by a little and see if that helps. I am on 112mcg of the same meds and haven't had increased appetite, but I know…

You can be my friend too! Congrats on quitting smoking.
-
Good luck! Let us know how it goes.

I understand your frustration. Have you had your thyroid checked. If it's underactive you can gain weight rapidly. Hope this helps.
