I guess different things work differently for different people, but calorie counting has worked for me. I've lost 18 pounds in 3 months (205 to 187), and it's because I am mindful of what I'm eating, and i work hard to stay under the goal. Unlike most, I use Quaker Instant - maybe not the best, but easy and reliable. I add I packet of Splenda and a shake of ground cinamon.
