  • I have always liked Richard Simmons Sweating to the oldies! Yeah, he's kind of goofy but the videos are fun and low impact.
  • If you want a good deal you should check Ebay. I just got a Polar FT80 watch chest strap and a flowlink to upload all my information for just 30.00. I love mine. It helps me to stay where I need to be in regards to my heartrate.
  • My favorite part of it is being able to map my own workouts. I have a 5K coming up in a couple of weeks and with the weather haven't been able to get outside so I mapped the trail and it does all the inclines and declines so I can prepare for my run.
  • I bought my treadmill last year and got the first year of ifit free. I LOVE it! The programs are nice and I love mapping out my own trails. Now, the last few months they changed their website and there was a lot of problems but I think they have finally got it figured out. I would say it is definitely worth it. I think you…
  • I've never posted a pic so hopefully I get it right! Right after I had my son in 2008. I weighed over 200 lbs here. My most recent pic at 149 lbs I tried resizing in photobucket but they aren't getting any smaller!!
  • I just signed up for the one in Omaha! It will be my first 5K and I am so excited!!
  • Thanks everyone! It's amazing how much more self confidence I have with losing the weight. One of the things that made me decide to lose the weight was the fact that I was never in pictures with my kids because I hated how I looked. I was the one always taking the pictures so I wouldn't have to be in them. Now I don't mind…
  • I started out at 206 last July and as of today have lost 67 lbs. My profile pic is my new before/after pic. My original goal was 140 and when I reached it I just thought, what the heck, gonna shoot for 135! I have 3 lbs to go. I never thought I would get this low. I also went from a size 20 pants size to a size 8. This is…
  • I started working on losing weight last July. I weighed 206 lbs and wore a size 20 pants. The first 3 months were frustrating to me because it was really slow weight loss. I wasn't counting calories at that time I just started watching what I was eating and was walking everyday. To date I have lost 64 lbs and now wear a…
  • For the most part I log everyday but I do take a break every now and then. If I am having a cheat day I don't log because if I go over I know I will feel guilty! :-) I've lost 64 lbs in the last year and it seems to work for me!
  • Congrats! That is an awesome loss! I would get frustrated at the beginning but I kept telling myself in a year it will make a difference. I have lost 64 lbs in a year and still going and still telling myself to imagine where I will be in a year if I keep going.
  • I bought my treadmill in March and it came with IFIT. I love it! I love the different workout programs and levels. I get IFIT free for a year but I definitely plan on purchasing another year when it is up!

  • Not sure how to post pics but my profile pic is a before/during pic. I started last July at 206 lbs and a pant size of 20. I have lost 63 lbs so far and have went from a 20 to a size 8 in pants! 10 was my actual goal because I didn't think I would ever be any smaller and am still amazed! I have 3 lbs to reach my goal of…
  • Last July I started at 206 and am now down to 145. You can do it! Just take it one day at a time. There will be ups and down. I have stalled twice in the last 10 months but have gotten through with lots of patience! My goal is 140 and it seems to be taking forever to lose the last few pounds but I am determined. The…
  • I love my treadmill! My husband bought me a new one a few months ago and it comes with iFIT. It has a 10 in screen and connects to my wifi. I can map out workouts anywhere in the world using Google Maps and if available there are pictures of where I am running. The incline will change to whatever it is supposed to be. I…
  • I love skinny cow chocolates! They usually do the trick when I am craving chocolate. I also like chocolate frozen yogurt.
  • I just bought a weight set at Sears last month for 400.00. It is a Weider home gym. Easy to switch the weights. It was a pain to put together but it works good.
  • I've tried gyms before and the problem is getting there! lol I have a treadmill and a weight machine at home and I don't even have to get dressed to work out which works great for me!
  • Wow! That gives me some hope! Last July I was a size 18 and my goal size was 10. Well, I just got in 10s last week and was so excited but have yet to reach my goal weight. I'm thinking how awesome would that be to be in a single digit size! I haven't been smaller than a 10 in over 20 years! Great work!
  • I agree! When I first started 8 months ago my eating habits were completely different than they are now. For me personally I have to change things slowly in order for it to stick. I find that if I change too many things at once I am less likely to stick with it. Once I started losing the weight and felt healthier from…
  • I think if I would get into an 8 I would cry! I haven't been that small in over 20 years! I'm only 5' 4 and tend to carry most of my weight in my hips, thighs, and butt. Apparently it runs in the family! :-)
  • Thanks! Keep it up! Just believe in yourself and keep your eye on the goal! If you get to a point where your work out seems easy then give it a little oomph! I believe if I don't feel like I'm working hard I'm not doing it right! You can get there!
  • This May will be my 20th anniversary. My husband and I were married at 17 and had our first child. There have been many times we almost didn't make it but now we are in "cruise control" mode. :-)
  • I might be wrong but if you was treated with radioactive iodine that will kill your thyroid. That was the option I went with when I was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism. And once the levels leveled off they started treating me for hypothyroidism. I would try to find another doctor until you get answers.
  • I was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism 18 years ago and I opted for the radioactive iodine treatment which pretty much killed my thyroid. It took a while for them to get my levels straight but once you get them straight you shouldn't experience any of the symptoms of hypothyroidism. I take levoxyl every day. The only time I…
  • I started July 2011 and as of today have lost 53lbs! I started by walking every day for 30 min and then slowly increased to an hour. Then started working on distance. I do most of my cardio on the treadmill now. I run 3 miles a day and sometimes like today run 4. I've also started doing more incline in my runs. I got a new…
  • Both ways sound good! I was just wondering today how I could add sweet potatoes into some meals.
  • I had the same problem last November. I started doing different workouts and it finally started coming off again. I think if you stick to the same thing eventually your body gets used to it. I have always done the treadmill and was doing 90 min a day on it. I started doing interval training and using the incline a lot and…
  • I started my weight loss journey LAST July! Now 7 months later I have lost 53 lbs and I am down 9 pant sizes! When I would get frustrated in the beginning because it wasn't coming off fast enough I would just tell myself it didn't all show up overnight and it isn't going to come off overnight. I just take 1 day at a time…
  • Mine is my before/during pic! I wouldn't say after because I'm not done yet but I love seeing how far I have come!
