  • I think that person just saw you as a "business opportunity." You fit into their "market" and they hoped to make some money off of you. I'm sorry it happened.
  • LOL. That'd be great if I could find someone ELSE to fill the initial jar with nickels. ;) It's a great idea, really! Having something to measure is motivating to me.
  • SO funny. When I woke up this morning I planned to start a thread for nursing moms. I log on and I already see 2 from this morning! I am nursing my 9 month old and am not losing ANY weight. I have tried cutting my calories back to 1500 and increasing them up to 2000, but nothing is working. I finally decided that I think…
  • I would say that either one burns more calories than walking on a treadmill, so go ahead. Hop on!! :) Enjoy the ride.
  • Whoah. I had never heard of Planet Fitness before this post even though there is one right around the corner from me. I just researched it and are they serious? They are calling themselves a gym? That's insane. Offering pizza, bagels, tootsie rolls??? How about apple slices and peanuts if you are going to offer stuff. And…
  • Lime juice!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It makes any sandwhich incredible. So much better than oil and vinegar.
  • The Fiber One granola bars are YUMMY. The Chocolate ones are soooooo good. They probably aren't the best for you, but in regards to the name, Fiber One, they are delish. :) I've never tried the cereal before though.
  • I have to say, I agree with you. I gave up sugar for 40 days once during a fast. I am a HUGE sugar fan. I gave it all up. I craved it every minute of every one of those days. I fought it, but it never went away. I think some people just love the taste too much. I do agree, however, that in general the less you eat things,…
  • I had no idea provolone was so low in calories. I eat a lot of that too.
  • I'll have to look that up. I don't belong to a Sam's club, but maybe I can find it somewhere else. My guess was going to be Swiss. If that's true, that's good, I love it! Oh, well, I love ANY cheese. :) Thanks!
  • I originally suggested the gum, but to be honest, I hate the stuff. Havne't had it in my mouth for over 20 years. ICK. Sorry, can't suggest anything there, but I've 'heard' that it helps curb appetites. I'm more of a mint sucker though, lol. I'd have pockets full of mints, and probably cavities after it was all over. Ha,…
  • I can imagine that would be hard. I have a hard enough time resisting the candy jar here in my office, and it's not even that good of candy. Heck, I don't resist it. I usually have 1 or 2 day. Food from a bar would be even more enticing. My only suggestions are to chew gum or suck on some mints. Good luck!
  • :( That article makes me sad. Sounds like I won't really be able to make delicious stuff by replacing those things. I'll just have to cut them back and cut my losses. Thanks for the article though - makes me realize I'm not doing things entirely wrong, it's just that what I'm doing may not work well, lol.
  • Ahh.....thanks! Maybe I misread and that is my problem. Okay, I'll try it that way. Thanks again!
  • My self talk that I give myself is the reality check that if I don't push myself, I may as well go back to bed. I'm just wasting my 45 minutes of time if I go to the gym and not break a sweat, or mosey around the weights and not feel the muscle burn. I went through years of doing that - going to the gym, not doing much,…
  • I am an avocado ADDICT. lol. I love putting them on sandwiches. My favorite sandwich: Toast whole wheat bread Place 1 slice cheddar cheese on toasted bread with sliced tomato and avocado. Sprinkle on a dash of salt and pepper. Top with lime juice. YUMMMMMMMMMMM. I'd eat them every day if I could. And yes, I'd also just eat…
  • Thanks everyone. Glad to know I'm not the only one going crazy over it. I'll keep those things in mind. But, seeing the high sugar number over there due to fruits and such may help discourage me from eating yummy banana bread and things like that. :)
  • Hi Jen, Thanks so much for the info! And yes, logging the breastfeeding calories was really confusing me and I was just adding 500 calories to my list in my head, which was boggling sometimes. :) I am going to adjust it that way, thanks!!!! Thanks for the links too. I will spend some time looking through them. I breastfed…
  • Hi, Thanks for the reply! I'm excited about doing this on here.
  • Hi there! I'm in the same boat. I have a 2 1/2 year old and an 8 month old. I have about 20 pounds to lose, but I can't seem to get rid of it. I'm very frustrated by it. Glad to hear other people are with me. I'm brand new to MFP also.
  • Good job! I'm in a similar position. I'll be done breastfeeding in December, but I'm trying to get a move on with my exercising and weight loss. My body's holding onto everything it has though. I am hoping that by getting the jumpstart now, when I do wean, the weight will just fall off. *hoping* !!!
