Thanks for the link. So does this mean I am doing my intervals at too long of periods? I'm doing 1/2 miles and 1/4 miles but it sounds like I should be doing them on the order of 30-60 seconds? Thanks, just trying to understand it correctly.

Well, yesterday morning I wimped out - we had those horrible thunderstorms that kept me up all night, so I didn't work out yesterday. :ohwell: But today, I fought it, and I did it. 4 miles running and some ab work. Ugh. I fought it hard, this morning. Snoozed twice, and was 20 minutes late to the gym, so I had to cut my workout short. Did the rowing machine, bike, and some weights though. I did it....but ugh.

No, can you believe I don't even own one? lol. The gym has TV's up that I watch, but I dunno, it just got to me yesterday. :) I'm used to running to no music/distractions though. I think it would help if I had an ipod.....hmmmm....must talk to the hubby! :laugh:

I'm back, I'm back!:noway: I was sick last week, hacking up lungs and all that fun stuff so I took it easy. Back at it this morning though 4 miles in 42 minutes.:happy:

Good job!!! I wimped out and went at the kids' naptime today. Ran and did some weights.

Agree with everyone else. I do 3 in, 3 out. I tried 2 in, 2 out and felt like I was hyperventilating. I tried 4 in, 4 out and felt like my lungs were going to explode. I found that counting my steps per breath also makes the run go by quicker.

Yay! Way to go, YOU! :) I ran this morning 4 miles. Woot! Feels so good to get it done in the morning even though it is so PAINFUL to get out of bed, lol.

Good morning! It's Monday.......and the company's gone.... Back at it. :) I got up this morning despite the fact that it is Spring Break for my husband (a teacher) and he snoozed in the bed all morning. But glad I did. Did some elliptical, running, and abs. How is everyone else doing?

Welcome to the group! :) I like the early morning ones too, as long as my legs don't feel like lead, lol. I like the atmosphere at the gym in the mornings much more than the after work/ after school crowd. It's not so social and I really get into the hum of the machines in the mornings. You can't hear it in the afternoons…

Yay! I did it again. Day 2. :) Ran 3 miles and did some ab work. I fought myself hard, this morning, because we were having very severe thunderstorms and it was pouring down rain. I almost took advantage of it - since it was so rainy and cold and lightening was everywhere. But....I got up and I'm so glad I did!

I did great!! Ran 3.75 miles and did some abs this morning. Woot! And was still able to get the kids out the door 10 minutes earlier than normal. :) I'm Kate, by the way....Nice to meet you, Amy! ;)
