  • LOL, I shipped all the white breads and pastas to my neighbors. Along with a bunch of other high sugar stuff. He couldn't understand why I wanted to give it away. Now he can see how much weight my husband and I have lost and NOW he understands. Luckily for my neighbor, he's not over weight. LOL
  • Don't eat the food until it is logged (use your cell phone). Usually by the time I get done logging something I know I shouldn't have, I feel guilty enough to remove it and choose something better. :-) Sorry for the repost, didn't see it earlier... Also don't let yourself get hungry, you will have more control if you snack…
  • 1200 calories is enough for most people, but it's what you eat that leads up to the 1200 calories, heck you could drink 1200 calories a day, easily. If you find balance in your diet and eat the right foods 1200 calories can really make you full and content. I don't drink any of my calories at all - with one exception -…
  • SOOOO awesome!!!!
  • You should look into the Belly Fat Cure. It will address the high blood sugar too. It has been working great for me!! Feel free to friend if you'd like. I log every day. :-)
  • Lactose intolerant, never use milk, but love Almond Breeze. I do the unsweetened with my protien shakes. Yum!!! I look forward to them and I use a powdered supplement (Daily Biobasics) that I add to it. Everything is logged. :-)
  • Nothing like family to kill your mojo!! Never ask family their opinion! Everyone I work with was congratulation me on my weight loss and my husband said, "it's different for me, I see you every day". I lost another 10 lbs or so and now he says he can really see the difference, but it still hurt a little... :-)
  • Didn't read all the posts, but Sugar free York Peppermint patties are great and Russell Stover has a few sugar free choices. Like.... Health bar crunch!!! So good!!! They are made with Xylitol, NOT suculose or aspartame or the other regular unhealthy sugar substitutes. :-)
  • Can you only correct it on the computer? I generally only use the mobile app. and have never seen that option.
  • How do you fix it? I would love to, but I have only been able to create yet another entry. I hate pulling up the info only to find that it was entered incorrectly, makes me paranoid specially when I can't find something in writing, like at a restaurant. :-) Sometimes I go back to the basics and add in individual…
  • I don't follow paleo, but I agree with the above post. Everyone is so different!! There are so many serious health conditions out there now that a diet that works wonderful for one person, can kill another person. It's all about personal success and what success means to that individual. :-)
  • I was super bloated as well. Once that went away, so did the weight. :-)

  • Now that's funny! There are so many people on here, I like to add people based on their weight loss strategy (usually in line with mine), but I will friend anyone who isn't negative just because someone is doing it differently then them. :-)
  • I thought the same thing (I had a gained 4 lbs after a night of drinking), but it might have had to do with my cycle too. At any rate it's gone again now, plus another 5 lbs. Just keep on going. It will work out if you stick with it. I can tell you, I won't be drinking again until I hit the 50 lb mark which I hope will be…

  • It's not about loosing fat selectively, because that's not possible, but if you are the body type that stores your fat in your belly area, it indicates that you may have insulin resistance. This diet it targeted to combat insulin resistance and therefore by default helps you loose belly fat. I have lost belly fat for sure,…
  • It is a lifestyle change really. :-) The basic premise is 120 carbs a day and no more then 15 grams of sugar. I actually learned about it from a weight loss seminar I attended. If you friend me, I will send it to you in a PM. The seminar was given by a doctor (who happens to be my sister in law), but it really explains in…
  • The simple carbs in the quesadilla wraps is probably what got you. I have a weakness for those too, but I try and limit to one a month or so. Try eating more complex carbs, whole wheat and breads and wraps higher in fiber. I also found the wraps have sugar too, so I just try and stay clear of them. I eat cheese close to…
  • I have been following this lifestyle change for 60 days (as of yesterday). I am never hungry!! It takes a little investigating to find what you can eat and what makes you full, but once you figure it all out, it is incredible!!! My husband and I and a couple friends are all doing it together. My friends only had a few lbs…
  • You look fabulous!!!!! What an awesome story!!!
  • FYI, this is a lifestyle change for my husband and I. We can easily do this for the rest of our lives! :-)
  • I love it!! My husband and I and a few friends are following it. I just straight count the carbs and surgars though, MFP makes it real easy for me to do it that way. :-) It has been fun, energizing and I haven't been hungry in 2 months!!! Key is complex carbs as they are lower in sugar and higher in fiber. Steer clear of…
  • YES!!! I love it. I added another topic asking how many other people are doing it. I absolutely love it, and have dropped 27 lbs in 60 days. It is actually really easy to do and your never hungry. The weight comes off quick and keeps you motivated and you don't have to exercise like crazy to loss the weight (although…
  • It has been working great for me. I follow the 120 carbs and 15 sugars a day, but he has a crazy way of adding them up that I don't use. It's easier for me to just plop it into MFP and run with it. I love the almond breeze unsweetened. It has more vitamin D in it then regular milk too. Plus, :-) I am completely lactose…
  • Exactly, snacks are the key. I do almonds or peanuts as they are more filling. You should find things that fill you up. Look for things higher in fiber and protein and lower in sugar. Drink water as fruit juice, soda and sports drinks can suck down all you calories. I, for the first time in my life, am never hungry. Now…
  • I needed to lose my stomach, my double chin, inner arms and inner thighs. It seems hard the first fee days, but you figure it out quickly and the weight loss is so quick, it keeps you motivated. One of the main reasons this was so appealing to me is because I can easily eat this way forever. I didn't want to do anything…
  • We were driving home from Wegmans tonight and it was dark. My 9 year old asked me to turn the High Def on...What?? He was talking about my high beams. lol Boy he is growing up in the technology age!!! :-)
  • Thanks all!! I am doing "The Belly Fat Cure" by Jorge Cruise. It has actually been fun. I went to Wegmans tonight for the first time and had the most perfect pizza for dinner. Made it from their Whole Wheat, Brown Rice cakes in the toaster oven no less. Took two minutes and was very minimal calories and carbs!! Every day I…
  • Yup, I have one every morning for/with breakfast!!
  • I totally agree, you'd be better off sticking to water or drinking a protein shake between work outs. Protein shakes are filling and healthier and generally the Whey protein only has one gram of sugar. Protein helps your muscles too.
