All i can say is...............GO THE BUNNIES!!!! Oh sorry to the OP. Distracted by someones avatar. I was a chocoholic. Mum worked at a chocolate factory so growing up chocolate was always in plentiful supply. About year ago I totally abstained from eating chocolate. Cold turkey. Infact I gave sugar the flick. The reason…

I actually compete with myself to see how quick I can enter the changeroom, undress, shower, dress and get the hell outta that place. I can never understand how certain guys, quite possibly `that guy' which the OP refers to can sit around and talk and otherwise goof off in what is a pretty grose place to be (the stench of…

The cheapest protein I've found (per kilo) is at proteindirect.com.au. They sell a range of flavoured and unflavoured WPI & WPC from NZ & USA.

Anyone done Shortcut to Size (Jim Stoppani) from Bodybuilding.com? I'm 3 weeks into it and have definitely noticed overall size growth, particularly chest & back. Legs coming along nicely as well as arms. Ab work also fairly intense. As far as these other programs/methods being used to promote hypertrophy, whats the go…

yea but not at 1200 mate. i wouldnt think advocating that calorie level was appropriate for a male. The OP is far better off going with MFP's advice than what you are saying...oh BTW. I dropped 40kg's in just over a year by having my cals at around 1700~1900.

Since I've been bulking up I've noticed that my BMI has gone from a healthy 22 right up to 26. BMI is a very basic measurement for the average person. Athletes and those with above average muscle mass (as I understand it) get widely differing BMI's. Best go with your Body Fat % which is usually measured with a skin fold…

You kinda answered your own question yea? How about just concentrating on becoming the fitness and heathiest you can be and not worry about doing this for anybody else bar yourself?
-
Get yourself a skin calliper. You dont need to be a rocket scientist to use one! Just make sure your grabbing with thumb and forefinger as much skin/fat/muscle (it should hurt a little) then put the calliper about an 1 cm from here. Plug your measurements into this calculator: http://scoobysworkshop.com/body-fat-calculator/

I couldnt help but remember this thread from a short while ago. Everything you need to know about gym etiquette: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/642261-gym-etiquette-things-that-make-you-go-mutha-ker Its a bit in ya face but quite a laugh.

WTF!!! What I would give to have a girl that looks like ^^^^ on my arm lol.... (sorry folks. i am just a male after all...)

Tell your BF that you can lift weights without getting `bulky'. Resistance training is more than just bulking up to achieve a certain amount of muscle mass. Weights are great for weight loss and increasing strength. Sounds to me like maybe BF is a little envious of your achievements....

I'm printing this out to read while on a toilet break but after skimming I got to the part about no cardio and have to say that I agree. One of the biggest regrets that I have is that on my path to losing over 85lbs, I guess you could say I became obsessed with seeing the scales go down. Worst part was that as well as fat…

I can completely understand your frustration. For me personally, I didnt know anything about weight loss at 115kg's. I sought the help of a personal trainer (ok, yes I know, they can be expensive. what price your health?) and set-up 2 sessions per week. She helped me with my food and within 3 months I lost around 40lbs.…

Oats is a bodybuilders friend at breakfast. You could grind down your oats and add to your shake or have porridge etc. Another idea to incorporate both protein & carbs in one meal is egg white & oats pancakes. Simply get 4 egg whites, 1 whole egg, a cup of oats, a scoop of cottage cheese & a dash of cinnamon. Whiz that in…

^^^^ This! When I finally worked this out for myself (I too suffered with this anxiety) I now just go at it 100%. Over time you will learn good form and how to use all the equipment.

Easier said than done I'm afraid. My wife struggles with her weight mainly because she doesnt eat. Like you, I harp on about the need to eat but she cites a number of reasons why she doesnt, a.) too busy looking after the kids, b.) not hungry, c.) doesnt like food, d.) doesnt like particular kind of foods etc. etc. There…

This is fantastic! Great effort. I'm particularly liking the fact that you gave yourself plenty of time to achieve it too. However I'm sure that yours in a life long change rather than some short term diet thing. Again, well done dude. You've done great.
-
Yep, about right. And they taste pretty damn good. Obviously make sure you grind your oats.
-
This is doable. I lost about this amount in roughly the same time. I realize everyone is different but if you put your mind to it and are really committed you can achieve your goal. Feel free to add me!!

Keep em in the bank! If youre over on a given day you'll have some up your sleeve!

yea weekends are definitely harder. weekdays are always carefully planned ironically on the weekends so very little scope to make mistakes.

This has done the rounds for a while now. Yes, each time I see it, very hard not to get choked up.

It would have to be Janies Got A Gun followed by Dude (Looks Like a Lady). Love cranking them up while driving.

Yes, yes, yes!!! Excellent post. This was a favourite with my mother in law. Everytime she would see me, she would ask me sacastically, `Hows your diet going'? and each time I would reply ITS NOT A DIET!!!! They do eventually get the message I think....
