Thankfully none of the meat options at my school are deep fried. It's too bad I'm not allowed two steamed options for veggies with lunch, I asked before and it's one steamed, one with oil. I'm in a gated community, and there are two gyms here that I have access to, but they are really busy. There is a river walkway close…

To be kind to myself everyday. I need to focus on what my body can do, not all of the flaws that I have. Also to run regularly (air quality permitting, I'm in China) and focus on portion control for all my meals.

Now that I am here, I also do a rough estimate for lunch at the canteen, and I figure it is around 800 calories, mostly because of the oil content. I don't measure, but I bring a extra empty bowl with me so I can put a bit of rice in it to eat. The canteen serves a giant bowl of rice. I get two servings of vegetables at…

No I haven't made it out yet. I'm still waiting for my work permit, so I can get my z-visa. It took forever to get the blood work for my medical, and my employer didn't start my work permit application until they got my medical results.

I do cheat days. I look at this as a life long healthy living kind of thing. Most things work for me in moderation, and a couple of things I can't have (food intolerance). The way I think of it is, whatever I do to lose the weight I have to keep on doing for the rest of my life: counting calories at least 80% of the time,…

I hope you find a treatment that works for you. Be kind to yourself, and just focus on one day at a time.

I would love to lose 20 lbs by New Years.

I've done a few things, I worked in admin. I started college at 24 in an RN program, halfway through I dropped out went and got a BA followed by a B.ed. I love teaching. The best advice I can give is spend as much time as possible doing a job shadow for your dream job. You might love the reality, or you might decide that…

http://www.shrinkyourself.com. You have to pay to use the program offered through this website, but it is fantastic! Far more affordable than regular counseling.

Start off small with exercise. If you are tired after five minutes that's fine. Do something active for a few minutes several times a day. As the weeks and months go by you will be able to add more, and more activity into your life.

No way, I gotta have something in my tank for working out. In the past when I did 6 am workouts, I had a harder time with what my body would tolerate that early. So I would have something like grapes, an orange, or a bottle of half gatorade half water.

30 years old, and my highest weight was 234.5 lbs, I'm currently at 211.5 lbs. To make it easier on myself I focus on losing 10lbs at a time. It's been a long journey so far, but I know I will get to a healthy weight one day. Anyone who is in a similar situation can feel free to add me.

Hi Everyone, I'm moving to Guangzhou next month from Canada, and I'm hoping to continue my weight loss journey in China. One of my concerns is that I will be working at an international school that provides a meal allowance to eat lunch at the cafeteria. Other than that I hope to eat a lot of food at home, so hopefully I…

Ice cream is the worst for me, it's a food that I have a hard time eating only in moderation. Therfore I try to avoid it, so I don't end up having an ice cream bender. Oh, and I'm allergic to casein the protein in dairy, so it's not a good idea for me personally to indulge. You have some options: 1. Enjoy in moderation 2.…

Hello my name is Carla and I am a 30 year old teacher. This spring I gained back about 10lbs that I had recently lost, and I am currently down 18 lbs from my all time high. I want to shrink my hips/ butt area, and hopefully this challenge will help.

If you find the right roommate it can be one of the best experiences of your life, especially if you are both serious college students. I had a great roomie in college, and it was nice to live with another student. My last year of undergrad I moved in with my bf, and while I love living with my bf I have to say it sucked…

You look fantastic, and I love the shirt you are wearing in your current pic. Have a great birthday! This year was my 30th birthday as well. I'm hoping it will be a great decade.

You should look into insurance coverage. I live in Canada, and here skin removal is covered through our universal health insurance, for those who have experienced problems with rashes, and infections in addition to maintaining their goal weight for a period of time. I know a couple of people who had it done and covered for…

I've never heard about a food policy at the gym, but as you said normally you don't see people eating. I would, it would really bother me if someone was eating McDonalds in the gym. Honestly if I'm working out for a couple of hours I sneak into the locker room for a few bites of an energy ball/ protein bar.

My goal is to stay under my calories six days a week, and complete 60 minutes of exercise every day.

My partner has orthotics, and he gets fitted for new ones every couple of years. He has insurance that covers 100% of the cost of his orthotics, but he does notice a difference when he gets new ones, especially on his right side.

Any runner can add me, I've done a of 10k's, and I have just started training for my first half. I am still in the obese range, but I won't let it stop me from running.

You can add me as a friend; I totally understand how you can lose people in your life because of depression/ anxiety.
