Thank you... of course if i can plan for them all to line up that would be idea but knowing i shouldnt worry too much about the macros and more about hitting my calories makes a huge difference for me.

i have my calories set to 350 over maintenance with my macros set to 40c/30f/30p i know what my minimums are for protein and fat and i always go over them but i didnt know if its good to go over carbs... should i not worry about that? that is why i was asking. ETA: if i have calories still left over at the end of the day…
-
good question i was also going to ask this but on the other spectrum... how about if you are eating or trying to eat at a surplus to gain muscle... is it better to try and hit your calorie goal and not worry so much about macros as long as you are hitting your protein? i tend to run out of Carbs and sometimes have 100-300…

Ya the calorie cycling has been what i have been doing... on days i lift i have been eating more and on rest days or days i just hike i eat at maintenance... since i just recently upped my calories i havent had a chance to see how this will work for me... i think i will continue... im not looking to gain mass amounts of…
-
ok i think i have the eating down... to maintain i am supposed to eat 1544 and i am eating around 1700-1900 trying for the greater number but trying to focus on macros at the same time... i am doing better on the protein but my fats are higher then you suggested... im finding it difficult to eat so much protein and still…

no lower back pain at all today... all legs and butt!! :) oh and a little in the abs but i also worked those too after the deadlifts :)
-
also i do have my macros set for 40c/40p/20f but i feel like i am actually eating more like 40c/30p/30f... would this hamper my efforts? most of my fats are coming from eggs, meat and cheese though i usually dont eat much cheese at the most 30g's a few times a week.

Thank you for the reply... i think im going to work on building muscle, that seems to be what i am working more towards. i do lots of hiking as i love to be outdoors but lifting is what i really want to stick to. I have lots of free weights up to 40lbs i have a lifting bar with weights probably more then i would ever need.…

-
technically no its not that important if you are not diabetic... but if you are trying to lose the last bit of fat you may have this IMO might hamper your efforts.... i never tracked sugars until recently and just started and have already noticed some changes. So i do think it does help but i guess it just depends on what…

I buy my teas from Davids Tea they have sooo many different flavours... right now my fav. is Mom's Apple Pie Tea and Birthday Cake tea :) Yum Yum... i drink 1-2 teas a day. I try to replace my coffee with it but i do still drink coffee a few times a week.

yes that sounds right to me... if you accounted your workouts in your TDEE then you do not need to subtract... though on days you dont workout i would eat less then that. What i did is I didnt include my workouts and i track them with an HRM and then eat back my workout calories, everyday i workout differently so i dont…

What i meant was that jillian higher weight then you is probably because she has more muscles then you do, its possible to be small at a higher weight because muscle weighs more then fat... Being thin is perfectly fine if those are your goals. I didnt mean to suggest that you were not fit, it does take a certain type of…
-
There is a huge difference in being Thin and athletically fit... I took at look at your photos and you do look to be under 100lbs ... that is not Fit its just thin and that is fine if that is your goal if you are having a healthy diet and your doctor says that ok then i guess its ok.... Jillian has a lot of muscle which…
