^^^ This You know how many cool kids clubs have been around here over the last few years? umm... me neither, but I'm sure it's a lot

This was my comment on his blog: "You know how many "athletes" I've come across, that love their sport & do it whenever they can, but you can't get their lazy butt to do real workouts that might improve their game? Nor are they disciplined enough to take anything serious that might be construed as work outside their game?…

Don't fight it man. This is one of those posts that got lost out of the Chit Chat section.

The whole "loyalty to the company" thing used to eat at my conscience, but not any more. I've learned that a company is only loyal to its employees as long as it's beneficial to their bottom line. So, effectively, you're doing the same thing - watching out for your bottom line first. I wouldn't sweat it.

One. Just by coincidence the guy lived close by and went to the same gym!

Why are you not in my basement? err... friends list, I meant friends list!

There are all kinds of factors that affect the perception - skeletal structure, height, shape of the muscles, where they tend to carry fat, even flexing vs not flexing can make a difference in appearance by a couple %s. But it still gives a pretty good guide in general for those that haven't seen it before.

a couple? I'm guessing that's at least 3 years of work, unless he's pubescent or on juice.

Yeah, you need to say Richard-ens.

If you believe that all shirtless pic guys are shallow & narcissistic, does that mean you also believe all fat people are lazy & unmotivated?

I def hear ya on this. I lift either 4 or 5 days per week and am trying to gain lean mass (and seem to be struggling to do so). So I know that recovery/rest is a high priority. That's what's kept me from doing these other things. I'm thinking maybe I can use one of my two off days to do some intervals/speed training (only…

Having lived most of my life in Colorado and a significant amount of time in Houston, TX, I've seen the day & night difference - not the difference in the people but in the culture. I'm SO glad to be back in CO!

I'll see your "once a week", & raise you a "once a month." 14 years here too. Yes, it does suck! err... doesn't... whatever. I'm gettin FRUSTRATED over here!

The reason I get "touchy" over stuff like this is that there is some bad advice sprinkled in with good advice. And for those who are new-ish to this they may take some of the bad advice (like "go to bed hungry") and give it an honest effort. Then, later, when it leads to binging or guilt or an up/down weight cycle, they…

Nope. I think #s 1,3,4,8,9,13,15,17 & 19 are pretty good advice. The rest are either exaggerations or plain ole hype that runs rampant in this industry. Then again, if your only goal is "skinny", not healthy or fit or actually looking good with muscle tone, then sure - go to bed hungry! That's the way they do it in…

Why yes, yes I do :)

B12 shots do wonders for some people. I personally like to do pre-workout supplement drinks before my morning workouts. I don't actually get any pump or energy shot from them like most folks do, but it does help me wake up a bit & I'm def not a morning person.

Anything with Drew Barrymore. She was good in ET, but it was all downhill from there!

Interesting! I'd never heard of this but I just got an email from work about it too. And they're considering how to let women participate too, lol. I'm not so sure there's a very HR-friendly equivalent for women.

To solve this problem and the inherent assumptions created by MFP's use of the glass icon as a hydration guide, I submit that MFP change the icon to a person peeing and an accompanying color bar. The user can click what color their most recent urination is, with the goal being at least close to clear once a day.…
