Agreed ^^^ It's good for aesthetics, not performance OR health (besides obvious cases like celiac).

I did a Sprint in TX a couple years ago, then 2 more in Colo Springs, CO. I actually did this last one in the Elite Heat just to see how I could fare without the log jams that tend to happen at certain obstacles. Loved it! Want to do a Beast if I can find myself near one one of these days.

Here, let me get on my Crossfit soapbox... j/k Obviously you're doing it right, cuz WOW! Love your approach, kudos! :drinker:

Software Auditor by day... flippin houses on the side.

Nope. Nothing selective about it. I'm talking pre-2011 FYI.

Yes, but they pretty much stay out of the forums. Didn't used to be that way around here, but unfortunately with growth these forums have gone the way of most internet forums. Good luck to you!

I know it's not the perfect answer from a health standpoint, but this is why I use pre-workout drinks. They don't do a whole lot for me as far as getting a huge pump, but they do really help wake me up.

I second this ^^^. I'd never use them when running on a rough trail for very long. There are way too many sticks/rocks that you'll feel with Vibrams. Also, keep in mind that you'll sometimes be pulling your legs up hard in stiff mud. It's easy to lose a shoe if it's just a slip-on.

I did a vampire race, very similar. Once your flags are stolen you become a zombie and join the chase. I'd say just choose whichever you think is funner. I'd think that'd be zombie. I'm def doing it again!

Nice to get all these experts to chime in! Oh, and that deadlift video scared the hell outta me! :noway:

I'm sure this is not what you want to hear, but not really man. You can gain WEIGHT if you eat enough, but muscle, not really, not with that much running. The whole concept of gaining muscle requires that you lift with enough of a load that your muscles need to be broken down sufficient to build up during the rest &…

You copied the URL, you want the image location (ending in .jpg) Congrats on your major success! That's amazing!

I want both teams to lose... somehow. Heat cuz of the reasons you gave... kinda weak when a alleged G.O.A.T. has to leave his original team & join an already loaded team just to get his title. #He'llneverbeMichael And I've just never been able to like the Spurs... Manu carries all the time & doesn't get called and is one…

"I want to look like that guy" Documentary of one man's journey from regular guy (30% body fat) to bodybuilder and what it takes to get there. I like how it makes it clear that those that go to the elite levels of BB-ing are not to be confused with "the picture of health". They are anything but. They, like other elite…

^^^ Yup! I'm am SO willing to bet that, MOST of the time an IIFYM-er's diet (who's doing it right) is almost identical to the "clean eater's" diet. It's just a difference in approach and mental grueling over how you get there. Kinda like how most of these debates are. MOST of the time both sides are well established in the…

Loved reading it before. Forgot to bookmark it so I could share w my pro-paleo friends. Thanks Chris!

They're a great isolation exercise. They isolate everything from the neck down.

There are 2 types of people: those that make generalizations about people and those that ... oh wait.

It's all in what you order. I have go-to's at many fast food establishments: Wendy's Ultimate Grilled Chicken sand Sm Chili Diet or water Cals - 600 64C/16F/51P Arby's Lrg Roast Beef sand Cals - 560 47C/22F/45P (I typically get a few small roast beefs & combine them on 1 sm bun to further decrease the Carb & Fat) KFC…

That's awesome! Congratulations and good job on being a good example to many.

This was simple & good. Right up my alley.

Vampire race on April 26th (Denver) Spartan Race on May 4th (Fort Carson, CO) Super stoked!

Their approach (Planet Fitness) is so ironic. In attempts to be "judgement free" they judge the h3ll outta those that are busting their tail, and go so far as to stereotype them in their commercials. Worst. Gym. Ever! I really like my 24 Hour Fitness cuz I get a year for under $200 and pretty much always have a location I…

The MFP Mob strikes again! OP gives a great post which a lot of people should pay good attention to. There's one comment that is clearly debatable (absolutist), that draws the ire of the mob, and the comment later gets clarified & redacted anyway. No matter though, the mob has spoken! (In fact some of the mob's comments…
