Take it small and slow with the meat, Hurricane. Good luck!

Ok. My husband scrambled one of the emu eggs today. It tasted fine, pretty much like chicken eggs. (I don't really like my husband's scrambled eggs, so I didn't LOVE it. Next one I'll cook.) 1 egg fed all 4 of us. I had read they equal 8-10 chicken eggs, so that's true. I would not buy them, they're really expensive.…

I just bumped an older thread about this for you girls to peruse.

Missy, you can buy it without auto-ship. It's the same price ($79.00), but auto -ship saves you s&h.

AJ, not false, but if one is trying to lose weight, limiting fruit, especially higher sugar fruits, is advisable.

How frustrating. I just looked at their website very briefly because I hadn't heard of it. Their intro sounds pretty good, but this rubbed me the wrong way: "SUGAR BUSTERS!® Written by three renowned physicians and a CEO of a Fortune 500 company". $$Ch-ching$$. Everywhere there's a "®" after the name "Sugar Busters." A…

First of, congrats on graduating AND finding a job! You have to realize how awesome your life is and what a terrific person you must be to have gotten this far! I think sometimes we procrastinate because we think something is going to be much harder than it actually is. You have to eat regardless of your job or people in…

As a former sweet and creamy coffee lover, I've been playing with my morning coffee since going primal. Currently, I'm using my blender to whip my 12 oz of coffee with about 1/2 a cup of unsweetened almond milk. I think the foaminess cuts the "bitter" taste that used to be cut by sugar. Does that make sense? I don't do…

I think it sounds gross, even if I still ate peanut butter. I second Twinmom's opinion. Just say no!

Thanks all. I guess I was so surprised at the gaminess. I sort of expected a more sour-ish yogurty taste, even though I was told it tasted pretty much like cow's milk. Reading online, sometimes it can be gamey, sometimes not, depends on different variables. Kecarlto, I got that you were being funny. I'm not going to try to…

Sapalee, if you decide to make yogurt with goat milk, taste the milk first. If you don't like the taste, don't waste your time.

Just made the pudding. The scrapings from the pan were good, yet I could still taste that game factor. (I'm wondering if I'll ever get that taste out of my system!) :noway:

Ok. I found recipes for chocolate pudding and fudge. They're not paleo (sugar), but my kids can eat it. (I hope this won't be a waste of good chocolate!)

This. Hahaha!

You can't change your husband. Didn't you read that in the manual?? Hahaha! Seriously, do it for yourself. That's all you can do.

How does goat milk taste, Norm? I'm reminded of a funny when my son was learning to read. We were at the store, and "Schepp's" brand milk was on sale, so I stocked up. His eyes got big and he asked me, "Mama, is that really SHEEP'S milk??"

Now I'm re-thinking my almond milk usage...hahaha! Thanks for the insight, Monkeydharma!

I switch back and forth between Silk Unsweetened almond milk (35 cals./8 oz.) and Almond Breeze Unsweetened almond milk (40 cals./8 oz.) depending on price. It took a little bit to acquire the taste, but I like it. They have versions that have vanilla flavoring and sweetening and they taste yummy, but I don't want the…

You know how I gave up sugar in my coffee? I pour my coffee in the blender, pour in some half & half or almond milk and blend til frothy. I always liked it sweet and creamy before, but turns out I can settle for creamy if it's frothy too. Open your diary!

That's a great pep talk, Soccermom. Listen to your own advice. ((hugs))

You might want to look at another thread "Paleo and Pocketbook" (I just bumped it to the top). There were some very helpful posts there.
