If you have none now, check out the adjustable weights. Make sure the quality is good and they are heavy enough to challenge you for a while - 50+ pounds. Weight training does incredibly great things for your body. I also recommend reading "The new Rules of Lifting for Women." Good luck!!

It is "good" that you have increased muscle strength and adapted to the exercises. Now you need to increase resistance and add new exercises to work different muscles. You will feel sore again when you find new muscles to challenge! Congratulations on your success so far and good luck on your journey!

Without a chest strap to monitor your heart rate continuously, the calorie function will not be accurate. Plus, it is inconvenient to hold the sensors while working out. Get a Polar HRM - you will not regret it!

MFP is always high for calories - in my experience (sometimes twice as high). Gym equipment also tends to be high, although lower than MFP. You will get the most accurate calories using a Polar heart rate monitor set up with all your personal and fitness data. If you don't want to use a HRM, then I would use the lower…
