for me, yoga is ESSENTIAL. as is the meditation after. without it, my entire fitness game gets off track as does my focus and drive for overall health. as for the benefits, listen to your body. ever get down on a 45 minute session of back and ab focused poses and feel sore as heck for days? THATS your benefit. your…

THIS. I always want to say "I don't eat animals... what part of that is confusing?"

No sweat :)

THIS. Also, doing something with my husband. A small piece of dark mint chocolate. Getting my hands busy with something - internet, book, knitting, etc. If all else fails, take some melatonin and got to bed. haha

I appreciate it. I just want to add that I don't ever feel deprived. If I'm hungry, I eat. I have bbq days full of good veg burgers and even beer. I'm not starving! haha

I have a hard time meeting my protein too. I try to get in greek yogurt, cottage cheese or eggs at breakfast which helps raise it up for the day because before I would grab a bagel or cereal which was pretty empty as far as protein.

k. I mostly log in a book I have and use MFP to attain values for the things I don't have so there are blank days here when I'm not online.

About 16 oz every morning. Tea later if I need it. I've been forgoing the creamer and truvia lately (taste buds changing! woot!) but I'll never give it up.

this isn't strictly true. the dairy industry feeds directly into veal. what do you think happens to all the baby cows after the females have been forcibly impregnated in order to produce milk? not judging you at ALL. just thought you should know that dairy isn't all happy farmers and cows. it's a dark industry.

I've been vegetarian my whole life and was vegan all last year. It isnt hard, but can be inconvenient. Ive recently went back to veg after some health concerns but would still recommend it to anyone. dairy isnt great for you, after all. my advice would be to learn to cook for yourself if you dont already. it makes it much…

Um, let's see.... Getting told by several people (including my mom) that I should be a plus sized model and clearly expecting a thank you because it was meant as a compliment. Being told by a 4 year old I babysat often during swimming that I have "fat legs". Having 7 sisters that don't look like me. Not even slightly.…

My husband and little brother are junk food junkies and I haven't slipped so I guess I'm strong with that stuff. But I will say if I have more bread in the house, I tend to eat more bread. Esp bagels. So I try not to buy it.

An hour of cardio!

H.F.S!!! Pure inspiration. Thank you for reminding me the work pays off.

I blend soy protein (with frozen bananas, kale etc) because I don't eat animals and it helps keep my energy up. However, there is a rather large misconception that people need massive loads of protein. Not really. Athletes, sure. Protein is essential and the shakes/supplements are an easy to get it without eating lots of…

I loved it. It was cover to cover common sense. Esp loved the section on how aspartame got FDA approval. Gruesome. I've been veg since I was 7 and did vegan all last year. It's no secret that dairy slows you down and makes your body feel crappy. That being said, I had to break vegan and incorporate SOME dairy back into my…
