  • Ultimate Starting Weight: 173 Challenge Starting Weight: 168 Challenge Goal Weight: 158 Ultimate Goal Weight: 140 Weigh in Fridays 7/12 - 168 I've been working so hard. I'm sure I'll see the numbers change soon. I just started weightlifting and TOM has arrived today so I know I'm retaining water.

  • Honestly, I had no luck untill I weaned a couple weeks ago. I cut calories and added exercise for a month while nursing and I didn't lose any weight And my supply dropped. My baby is 15 months, I weaned him and have lost 8lbs by doing the same thing I was doing before weaning. If I were you, I wouldn't stress about it…
  • Definitely find an endocrinologist or a good ENT and request again. I went through multiple doctor's before I got diagnosed. It was so frustrating. Keep at it!
  • Hey! I have a 5 week old and I'm exclusively breastfeeding. I also have a 2 year old . To get to my original pre-pregnancy way I have 35 lb to go. My first goal is to lose the 15 pounds from this pregnancy. After I had my first child I got diagnosed with thyroid cancer and then also had a miscarriage so my hormones made it…
  • I actually was up to 157. Is ok though, my thyroid was removed 3 weeks ago and I had recovery and haven't had my meds adjusted yet. I'm getting them upped Friday so hopefully that will help! Feeling good enough to work out now, just sluggish. @Am_change I'm breastfeeding my 9 month old too! He occasionally sleeps through…
  • I may weigh Thursday evenings if that's ok I work nights and don't normally sleep Thursday nights or Friday during the day, but I get to sleep thursday during the day. I eat Thursday nights as if it was day time, so I'd rather weigh after sleeping!
  • Me too! Baby is 9 months and I thought I'd be back to my pre baby weight by now. But, he had reflux, I had post partum depression, and had to have surgery to remove my thyroid. Maybe I can get close by a year! 2 weeks pp - 168 CW-156 Goal - 140
  • I'm 5'6" and am 157lbs and 6 months post partum. I'm trying to get back to my pre-pregnancy weight of 145, but I'm really happy at 135lbs. I'm just trying to make it to the first goal then will work on getting back to 135lbs.
  • Just had my baby 4 weeks ago and have about 25 lbs to go!
  • Hey! I am 2 weeks post partum and also gained about 50lbs during pregnancy! I've lost 25 lbs, but still have about 25 to go! I also, would love some encouragement and accountability. I lost weight with this website a few years ago, so I know it works. I just have to figure it out with breastfeeding and recovery.
  • I've seen bands that go around your waist that have zipper pockets on them made for running. They're kind of like fanny packs but are not as bulky. I know that you said arm bands are not an option but I have seen them made for phones that big. Also, I definitely would NOT put it in your bra or anywhere else that would get…
  • Hey! I've been on a lot of different ones and in my experience, the BC doesn't directly cause weight gain. I has however increased my cravings for sugar and fat and maybe even increased my appetite a little bit. It also may cause a bit of water retention. The only advice I can give you is to remember your motivation for…
  • Find a goal or deadline that you have to meet and have someone seriously keep you accountable. I've been doing the same thing (eating like crazy and not working out) and recently my brother surprised me by signing me up for a race. Now I have no choice but to get back on track or be super embarrassed by my performance in a…
  • I think someone else said this too, but it helps me to pack a snack for the ride home so that I'm not so hungry and don't go for the bad stuff once I get there. If I know I'm really going to want a cookie or chips or something bad, I pack a SINGLE PORTION for the ride home. That way, when I get home I can tell myself no,…
  • Don't give up yet!!!! I worked so hard at it for a good two months plus a little before I saw any difference in the scale or in how my clothes fit. I told myself I would give it one more month (3months). Especially if you're exercising, it may take a while to see a change. Muscle can take the place of fat before you can…
  • I agree with this! Your body really needs the nutrition and energy right now to heal itself!!! Eating at too much of a deficit may cause some problems with healing. I would just focus on maintaining rather than loosing right now. Your body will thank you later!
  • It must be hard to find time with kids and a husband. I only have a husband and find it hard. Is your family able to do evening walks together? I find it's a great way to get in some activity while also spending time with my husband who I feel like I neglect during the school year.
  • Just finished my first year of nursing school and gained a bit the first semester and lost it the second. You have the right idea with taking your lunch but it doesn't seem like much to eat. What helped me was bringing lots of fresh veggies to crunch on. I pack baggies of baby carrots, green pepper strips, celery ect. to…
  • Look up weight lifting or strength training under cardio exercise and it will give you a calorie amount. It only gives calories under the cardio heading. :)
  • I didn't want to go full barefoot style either and my brother recommended Saukony's Kinvara's. I got them and love them! They are minimalist but still have some structure.
  • One of the gym monitors complimented me on my lifting form today. This is totally awesome because I've been struggling to get my form right for months! yay!!!!!
  • BTW Skinny Cow is buy one get one free at publix this week!!!!
  • Have you been looking in the right spot? The wedges are not refrigerated, so sometimes they are not with the rest of the cheese. I've found them at publix with the pepperoni and stuff.
  • I'm 5'6 and am pretty sure I have a small frame. SW: 137 lbs CW: 129 lbs (I think...I don't weigh very often) GW: 125 lbs My heighest weight was 150 and I started to have some potential health issues. I used to weigh 125 lbs and that's when I felt the best. However, I am weight training now and I've never done that before,…
  • I have tried starting this. I don't know how much weight training you have done before, but I started with absolutely no experience. The bar was even too heavy for me to do squats with. Right now I am trying to work up to the bar and going from there. So far I love the format though. I would love to hear the responses!
  • Some gyms have bikes that you "pedal" with your hands.
  • You could try splitting a dish with a friend, or asking for light dressing on the side so that you don't use all of it.

  • Got a bachellor's in Pre-professional Biology (Pre-med) then decided that a doctor's life is not for me, and am currently in Nursing School!
  • I agree with some of the previous posts. That would put you at an unhealthy BMI. I am the same height and the lowest I could ever get was 123 lbs... :/ It may just be me though. Maybe try strength training if you are unsatisfied with your size. It may cause you to gain some weight, but you would loose inches!
