It is great to see the numbers go down on the scale. My problem is I tend to see them go back up too...:tongue: I keep losing and gaining the same pounds. Hopefully with my 40th birthday approaching I can get my act and willpower together. This sight is helping though. I love MFP!

I have tried the low-carb thing and it seemed to work for me...as long as I stuck with it. I followed The South Beach Diet. I have Hypo-Thyroidism which is not good for weigh loss... So sorry to hear this. I had to put my yellow lab down when she was 11. She got really sick and kept looking at me as if asking me to fix it...make it better. It was the hardest thing I have ever had to do. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

I take it a week at a time. I say to myself...I can do anything for a week. That usually kills the cravings for me. I hope it helps!

Try a low carb diet. Doesn't need to be extreme...just cut back in the complex carbs like white bread, rice, potatoes, and pasta. No need to eliminate them but just cut back a bit. Hopefully this helps!

Drink tons of water! I know it sounds crazy but it works. If you watch your salt and drink tons of water it should only take about a day for it to go down.....
