I just changed my goal to one pound a week loss and it jumped me up to 1500 calories. I manually adjusted my protein to 75g. I'll give it a month and see how that works.

Thanks everyone!! Keep the advice coming!

Each time I've switched up my calories I've given it about 3 weeks. I've just last month lost some of the weight I gained back when I was experimenting with calories. It's been almost 2 years since I started my process.

Technically the body can't function properly under 1200 calories for a woman. That being said, at 187 pounds, if I eat any more than 1200, I don't lose. I've tried every combination of calories out there and it doesn't work. I would disregard his advice and at least put away 1200 calories each day. If you start feeling…

Congrats! And you do look younger! :)
-
Sure why not.

Go ahead and add me! I needed to lose 100 pounds when I started, and even had the same "gain it back" experience that you did! You can do it!

Bubble Boy is one of my guilty pleasures. Much like Napoleon Dynamite mentioned above. You just HAVE to watch it when it's on.

Lars and the Real Girl. Weird premise.

My goal is 138 pounds.

Friend.

Mine is open as well. Feel free to add me :)

Great job!

Nope. I started out being hesitant about lifting and weight training, but it helps. A LOT. Plus, never in my life has someone said they wish they had my thighs. Until I started weight training.

I know my post is buried on page 6, but I did have to chime in either way. You do seem to make a lot of excuses, and believe me, I know how to identify them. I did it too. "I'm just big boned", "I'll just eat this and work out later", etc. etc . I was a compulsive eater. Unlike a lot of people, I suffer from OCD and that…

I can't even stand the smell, let alone sight or taste. I'm a traditional yogurt kind of gal and I intend to keep it that way. Who wants yogurt that's thicker than sour cream? (I don't like that either. :p)

Sweet Odin's Raven!

Their fish sticks are awesome! Corn meal instead of flour!

When I first went GF I also decided to go as carb free as possible. But that meant I was only consuming about 500-700 calories a day, so I decided it had to be one or the other. And since I am gluten intolerant.... This is what I stick to: -GF oatmeal -Quest Bars -Popcorn (which isn't the best, but hey.) -Peanut Butter…

It only takes a few days to get into a routine. When I first started working out (I'm incredibly lazy. Always have been) I had to FORCE myself up and out. But now that it has become a routine, I just automatically plan on work, gym, home. It's just the way it is. Taking the first step is the hardest, but once you get past…

I have the same issue. I feel it in my thighs and knees when I do resistance squats/weighted squats, but never anything in my butt region. I get more of a burn there on the Stairmaster. What is up with that?

When I first started, I wore Lululemon yoga pants and loose fitting t-shirts. Lulu yogas really pull you in. They are, however, a bit on the pricey side. Costco sells okay knock offs. Also, I was a size 36 HH when I started, so I wore two sports bras. Now that I'm down, I wear Lululemon compression yoga cropped pants and…

It means eating the calories you burn. For example, if you burn 300 calories using an elliptical trainer, then you eat an additional 300 calories that day in addition to your daily goal.

I remember seeing something on Food Network about how we get our water. They weighed a bunch of food, dehydrated it and then weighed it again to see how much water we absorb just from food. I think if you are hydrating yourself, your body doesn't care. Granted, pure water is better than water with stuff added to it, but if…

Glad to see you came back! A lot of people don't after going through what you did. You can do it, and everyone here on MFP is here to see and push you to succeed!

I forgot to mention, anyone can add me. I love sharing my stories and experience!!!
