Here is a recipe I found on here for an overnight oatmeal that you can cook in the slow cooker. I haven't tried it yet but that's only because I have just now found steel cut oats in my area. I think I'll try it this week. http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/159606-overnight-oatmeal?hl=overnight+oatmeal

I second the Thai Chicken Chopped Salad. It's a bit spicy but has some really unique ingredients like grilled edamame. I also like the Chargrilled Chicken Salad at Chick-fil-a. They have a fat free honey mustard that's really yummy too. I usually eat half ot the salad and save the other half for another meal. Also, take…

I agree, this has JEALOUSY written all over it. How sad that she would feel the need to put you down. It shows her own insecurities.

This might be a candidate for Easter. Thanks!

For the record, my husband has been VERY supportive of my diet efforts for the most part. He has always been thin and is usually trying to put on weight. But last week he had the nerve to criticize the fact that healthy food is so expensive and that becuse I was dieting, HE has lost 20 pounds. I know he was teasing but…

I can relate to this in the sense that I was hungry all the time when I first started using this site. However, I can tell you that your body will adjust to consuming fewer calories. Just give it some time. I've completely changed what I eat and that's still evolving. Each week it seems like I'm eating something I've never…

Yuuuum! Graham crackers are my new craving so this will fit in nicely. I have such a sweet tooth! Thanks.

This is really interesting. I too have wondered what to eat before and after. Thanks!

Deviled Eggs? What a good idea. I'm SO making these for Eater. Thanks for sharing!

I am the same way. I usually allow myself something small and sweet after lunch and dinner. Some of the things that have worked for me thus far are dark chocolate, yogurt, skinny cow, fruit, fat free fig newtons, and granola bars. I like to make the Hungry Girl Yum Yum Brownie Muffins and freeze the leftovers for dessert…

I LOVE zuchini and always have it around so this will definitely be on my menu soon. Thanks for sharing.

We've like to cut ours into fries or even into cubes. Then we add olive oil, cumin, chili powder, onion powder and a littlbe bit of salt and bake. They are so yummy. Here is the recipe. http://recipes.sparkpeople.com/recipe-detail.asp?recipe=121

I have just the bananas for this recipe. Thanks!

I know this thread is a little old but for anyone that's searching, I wanted to update with a store bought trail mix that I found and LOVE. Great Value Good Health Energy Trail mix is yummy and has NO SODIUM. It does have a bit of sugar only because it contains dried cranberries. I think it would be even better with bits…

How many servings was this?

Oh how I've missed that green sauce you referred to. Can't wait to try it!

This sounds so refreshing. Thanks for sharing.

Funny, I ran accross this topic just as I'm eating my Cottage Cheese mixed with crushed pineapple. Yummy!

I just saw an idea yesterday that was really intended for kids but I thought it would be a good idea to make for "on the go" mornings. 1/2 cup reduced-fat creamy peanut butter spread 4 whole wheat or regular flour tortillas (8 to 10 inch) 1/4 cup honey 2 small bananas, sliced 1/4 cup miniature semisweet chocolate chips, if…

Thanks for all of the great sites. I do love to cook so I will definitely be using these. And as far as the ease of grabbing an apple, you are absolutely right. From now on, I just won't even buy those unhealthy snacks and then they won't be an option. It's that simple. I do love vegetables and fruits and am not a picky…

You seem to be like me and love to snack but I'm amazed at how they never seem to throw off your daily count. This just goes to show the difference it can make. Thanks for sharing!

Bump. Desserts are my weakness so nice to have healthier alternatives.
