Aye I use mine quite a lot (20kg [44LB]). I wish I had a slightly lighter one for higher rep exercises as my fitness is awful and will probably buy a heavier one when I have money for strength exercises (floor press, goblet squat, OHP, row etc.) as 20kg is pretty low. My favourite exercise is probably the snatch even…

More power to you! I am not certain how much I want to lose right now honestly but I know it is over 100 pounds so feel free to add me if you like (as can anyone else). Best of luck either way :)

Relax. :) I'm half a bottle of whiskey deep with relatively strong intentions of drinking the rest. You may find yourself in a calorie surplus if you drink but at the end of the day you should be setting yourself up to succeed by recognising that not every day will be perfect and that the changes you are making should last…

I drink tea and coffee. No sugar and little milk.

Too little is much more relevant than too much. As long as you are getting enough protein and fats then the rest can be whatever you like really.

In terms of weight loss, and speaking broadly with the assumption of a larger time-frame to track the trend, I think it makes little difference. More specifically I have observed that it makes little difference with me. This said, some people claim to respond very well to "zig-zagging" their calorie intake and if it works…

It depends on what you want to achieve. Honestly though there is almost no reason for you not to start on some form of lifting program. You can either continue cutting weight fast or go on a long, slower cut down to whatever weight you want to be. You have to decide what is important to you. If you plan on lifting at all…

Just watched a video where I guy is being thrown out for deadlifting (5/6 plates) after dropping the weight. The "instructor" or whatever they call themselves says "deadlifts aren't allowed here". Just thought I would add this in case you thought it was just squats. Lol.

These places are pretty amusing. At the end of the day though they are catering to a certain market so they can make money. If you don't like it then step one is not to give them your money.

I weigh myself daily, but only log once, sometimes twice a week.

If people want to eat just the white, just the yolk or even the shell mixed with toothpaste that's fine. Personally I always have and probably always will eat the whole egg.

Find out what you enjoy doing and do that, you are much more likely to stick with it that way. When you are in the habit of exercising you can worry about forcing yourself to do things you don't like :P

I had vindaloo (tinned) and rice. Except I had it for lunch. For dinner I had chicken nugget sandwiches because apparently I'm 12.

I don't. Coffee, tea.

Double post, for some reason.

Dust in the Wind is a great song.

Favourite song: I have loads. Feels Like Home (Chantal Kreviazuk) was for a while but that was ruined by memories. In the interest of providing an answer I will go with The JCB Song (Nizlopi) or The Parting Glass (I probably like Cara Dillon's version best, but something stirs when Ronnie Drew sings it [R.I.P]). Though…

There are few reasons not to start conservatively and none of them really apply to beginners. I think Mehdi suggests that everyone should start with the bar. If you can already deadlift 400 pounds for 5 reps though I think you can probably start a little higher (:p).

Some of the things on my playlist: Roy Jones - Can't be Touched (always puts me in the mood) 'Till I Collapse - Eminem Remember the name - Fort Minor X Gon Give it To Ya - DMX Shook Ones Part II - Mobb Deep Last Resort - Papa Roach Contact - Foreign Beggars Fight Music - D12 You Can do it - Ice Cube And of course: Eye of…

For some reason my workouts have always felt much less productive the later in the day that I do them. Personal preference really.
-
Nothing specific that I know of, but probably something.

Circuit training/weight lifting will probably be most accurate depending on what exactly you did.

I remember watching his episode as well. Good for him.

As long as you are making sure you are eating enough and your routine includes some sort of progressive overload then you will probably be fine. You may respond better to something else, but that is a separate question. Allpro's beginner routine is a 3x a week full-body workout and many people have had great experiences…

Well that's a relief.

You having not seen any negative impacts of her diet does not mean there have not been any. For the record, I don't ultimately care very much what she chooses to do as she is an adult who can exercise agency in making choices - as I am sure you would agree. I would imagine that same can be said for most people here, though…

My scale does the same, and pretty much every scale I have ever owned has done the same. An uneven floor will yield different results in different places - as will standing differently. I just try to keep things as uniform as possible. I remember where I place the scale and do so each time. I sometimes take 3 readings and…

There tends to be a fair amount of sodium yes, but as with anything else you can adjust what else you eat to compensate.

I either boil it in stock or I add pepper, chili powder and sometimes herbs to it. Mostly I end up mixing it with veg and either meat or fish (and sometimes salad cream, but I know that is not a common thing).

I weigh myself daily, first thing in the morning and always wearing the same thing as best I can. I update my weight on here intermittently, though I want to get into the habit of recording it perhaps once a week.
