I finished C25K a couple weeks ago. Loved it!! I definitely recommend it to help with running.

I've lived in Germany 2x (Rotheburg ob der Tauber and Dresden) studying German. I spent 6 months in Prague getting my TEFL certificate and looking for work. Then I spent 2 years in Beijing teaching English. Each country was fantastic in their own ways, and I loved being there.

I know the feeling. I had it Monday after an interview (that took 90 minutes to get to) didn't go so well. And the cupcake shop nearby was closed. So I made a carrot cake cupcake and all was well. This is where I found my recipe, and she has many other single-serving cupcake recipes as well.…

So sad!! Watching the reports on OTL on ESPN. I remember Junior from his years with the Patriots, such a great player and a great man. He will be missed. RIP Junior.

Yes!! I couldn't lose without exercise. I finished C25K last week, and now have added running to my routine. For me, it's not an option.

I'd like to try! :)

Other than fun seasonal allergies- I swear the almond trees out here in Central Valley, CA were trying to kill me- the smell of flowers/perfume trip my allergies. I'm on Zyrtec most of the year. I'm also highly allergic to insect stings. A hornet actually did try to kill me when I was in high school. Thankfully my mom…

C25K!!!! I just finished it today! Such a fantastic training program, IMO. It's great, just make sure you have great running shoes as well!

I so want that app!!!

Yes, C25K works! :) When I first started, I said to myself "jogging for 30 minutes straight? No way I'll be able to do it." Took some time and patience, but I did it! :) As for bras, I've heard great things about Enell and Lululemon. Pricey (which is why I haven't bought one of them yet), but supposed to be really good.

bump. Anyone?

Silver Needle White Tea from Teavana- heavenly. Oolong tea is also very yummy, mine is loose leaf. I also like green tea and Bigelow's Vanilla Chai.

Bump, will have to try. Thanks for posting!

Love it! And great timing, as I just got back from running (Week 9 Day 2 of C25K!!)

I saw the one in Stockton, but I did one a couple weeks ago in Manteca, so didn't want to try another one so soon. One per month sounds good to me right now. :) Have a fantastic time at the Stockton one, and good luck!!

Rocking Day 1 of my last week of C25K. And signing up for my 2nd 5K- and I'm running this one!! I walked part of my last one. Next 5K- Race for the Cure on 5/12 in Sacramento!

My parents and soccer. A few years ago, my dad and I moved a lot of furniture and other stuff into a 2nd floor condo with no elevator. Every time I was getting tired/sore/cranky, my dad would simply say "Cowgirl up" and it was enough to get me moving. After all, he was 57 and I was 27. Fast forward a few years and a few…

Yet another vote for C25K! I finish this week, and it is amazing! :) My tip: Good shoes. Go to a running store and get fitted. A pair will probably run you $100+, but it's so worth it!!! For the 1st 3 weeks, I just ran in my walking shoes. I had such knee and shin pain. New running kicks- no pain. Run at your own pace,…

I was over 230 when I first started. It's been a slow road, but I did Week 9 Day 1 today, so it's possible. Like others have said- SHOES!!! I did the first 3 weeks in my normal sneakers and my shins were hurting bad! Then I got my running shoes- no problems. Just take it at your own pace and listen to your body. You can…

I did Week 9 Day 1 today, and I was able to go more than the 30 minutes. When I first started this, I didn't think I'd be able to finish. I played soccer, but never really was a runner. I did my 1st 5K a little more than a week ago, and finished. I had to walk part of it, but I finished, I wasn't last. I love the C25K…

Be proud that you did it!! I am! :flowerforyou: I did my 1st 5K last weekend and came in 116th out of 195 with a time of 41:24. I'm doing C25K, and had finished week 7 when I did the race. I ran most of it (slowly though) and walked some of it. But hey, I finished, and that's what's important. And I was 222 lbs when I did…

I got teased a lot as a kid, my grade school class overall was pretty cruel. Apparently we were the worst class most of those teachers had ever seen. After 8th grade I got taken out of public school and put into a Catholic high school, which made a huge difference. After that, I never got teased, no one said anything to me…

New-ish transplant to San Joaquin Valley. :)

Don't forget the bacon milkshake too.

These sound good, I'll just have to use almond butter instead since I don't like peanut butter.

5K on Saturday, and if the weather's nice- Street Fair. Might go see Hunger Games with friends and go to dinner if it's in the budget. Otherwise, I'll go with the flow.
